Get row-level basis matching between the broker 1099-DA and Awaken for a tax form: each match pairs a parsed broker disposal with its Awaken counterpart (or flags it unmatched), with per-row proceeds/basis diffs, a matchStatus and reviewStatus, plus totals and matched/unmatched/unreviewed counts. Use this to drill into individual basis discrepancies. Pass a taxFormId from awaken_list_1099da_forms.
awaken_get_1099da_basis_matches
Read the reconciled Form 8949 row preview for an existing 1099-DA form. Use it to review accounting data; final report files are handled in the Awaken web app.
awaken_get_1099da_8949_preview
List 1099-DA accounting reconciliations for a tax year and return the identifiers needed by the reconciliation tools. Final report files are handled in the Awaken web app.
awaken_list_1099da_forms
Get the full 1099-DA reconciliation for a tax form: broker-parsed totals and per-disposal rows (parsedTransactions), Awaken totals (raw and stablecoin-adjusted), the proceedsDifference, basis coverage %, basis-not-reported Awaken rows, proceedsByAsset (parsed vs Awaken proceeds per asset with backing transactions), and issues (per-date/asset proceeds mismatches to investigate). All money values are USD dollars. This is the primary read for driving reconciliation. Pass a taxFormId from awaken_list_1099da_forms.
awaken_get_1099da_reconciliation
Read the Box H, Box I, and combined proceeds, basis, gain, and row-count summaries for an existing 1099-DA reconciliation. This returns accounting data, not a report file.
awaken_get_1099da_report_info
Add an accounting-ledger leg to an existing Awaken transaction record. This changes accounting data only; it never moves, trades, executes, routes, or takes custody of assets.
awaken_add_transfer
Get the client's holdings, cost basis, current value, and unrealized gain/loss for a single asset, broken down by position (wallet/staking/etc.). Requires an assetPricingKey, which you obtain from awaken_get_portfolio (each balance's assetPricingKey) or awaken_list_insights. Monetary amounts are in the client's reporting currency (USD for most).
awaken_get_asset_position
Resolve the default Awaken client for the MCP credentials, falling back to the active client for API-key-only credentials.
awaken_get_active_client
Return the connected-app guide for safely reading and editing the selected Awaken client's accounting data.
awaken_get_skill
Create an accounting-ledger transaction record in Awaken. This records tax and portfolio data only; it never moves, trades, executes, routes, or takes custody of assets.
awaken_create_transaction
Delete a fee from an Awaken transaction using the same reversible soft-delete behavior as the transaction detail UI: the fee row is preserved with a deleted marker and excluded from cost-basis, balances, and reports. Get feeId from awaken_list_transactions with includeSplitDetails=true. The edit is audit-logged, grouped by sessionId, and can be reverted via awaken_undo_session or the client's edit history. Fails when the associated transaction predates the tax-report lock date for the client.
awaken_delete_fee
Page through the client's own edit history — who/what changed which field on which transaction/transfer, old vs new value, when, and whether it's already been reverted. This is how you find the auditLogId values to pass to awaken_undo_audit_logs; works with an ordinary client API key (unlike the richer awaken_list_audit_logs debug tool, which requires an admin key and also supports filtering by editing user and including competitor-imported edits — neither of which this tool exposes). Filter by field (e.g. label, fiat_value, basis, hidden, notes), a free-text transaction search, or specific transaction IDs. Set summaryOnly for just counts (totalAuditLogs, totalTransactionsAudited, totalTransfersAudited, lastAuditLogAt) without paging through rows.
awaken_list_edit_history
List MCP edit sessions for this client — groups of related writes made through this MCP surface (labeling, splitting, merging, creating, scoped transaction-field updates, transfer updates, hiding, undoing, and their own undos) that share a session id. Supported, audit-logged writes accept an optional sessionId to group several calls into one logical edit; omitted calls group automatically by API key + UTC calendar day (a fresh key or a new day starts a new session). Title and transaction-hash changes have no audit rows and do not appear in these sessions. Sessions are MCP-only — edits made in the web app, by admins, or by AI edit runs never appear here (their audit rows have no session id at all). Use a sessionId from this list with awaken_undo_session to review or revert the whole session in one call. Newest session activity first.
awaken_list_edit_sessions
Hides an existing accounting transaction and its split children. Stored records are preserved and can be restored with awaken_hide_transactions(hidden=false). This affects accounting calculations; it does not remove a blockchain transaction.
awaken_delete_transaction
Hides an existing accounting transfer leg by setting isHidden=true. The stored leg is preserved and can be restored with awaken_update_transfer(isHidden=false). This affects accounting calculations; it does not move blockchain assets.
awaken_delete_transfer
Hide or restore one or more whole Awaken transactions — the same action as the transactions UI's delete/restore toggle. hidden=true removes the transactions' ledger entries (and any linked OTC trades) so they stop counting toward cost basis, balances, and reports; the transaction rows themselves are preserved and can be restored by calling again with hidden=false for the same IDs. This hides entire transactions, not individual legs — to hide a single transfer leg on an otherwise-valid transaction, use awaken_update_transfer instead. Fails if any transaction predates the client's locked tax-report date. The response splits the requested ids into updated (confirmed via a follow-up read to now have the requested hidden state) and notFound (stale, foreign to this client, or otherwise unchanged) — the underlying backend silently ignores ids it can't match rather than erroring, so always check notFound instead of assuming every id you passed succeeded. Marks the client dirty for recalculation.
awaken_hide_transactions
Apply or wipe a transaction label in Awaken for one or more transaction IDs.
awaken_label_transactions
Merge one or more Awaken transactions into a target transaction — the same merge action as the transactions UI. All transfers and fees from the source transactions move onto the target, and the sources are removed. All transactions must belong to the same client. Triggers a cost-basis recalculation on the next recalc.
awaken_merge_transactions
List the NFTs in the client's portfolio: name, on-chain identity (provider/contractAddress/tokenId), current value, Awaken's floor and last-sale estimates, cost basis, and unrealized gain/loss. Each row includes an assetKey to pass into awaken_set_nft_price. useAwakenPrice=false means the current value is a user-set override. Monetary amounts are USD dollars. Note: search/assetKey filtering and the limit are applied locally after fetching the client's full NFT list.
awaken_list_nfts
Rank the client's chains/exchanges (providers) by realized performance over an optional date range. For each entry it returns realized capital gains, income, futures P&L, and a combined performanceUsd (capital gains + income + futures + gambling + regulated-futures), sorted best-first. Use this to answer 'which chain did I perform best on?' and to read per-chain income (e.g. income on Sui). Monetary amounts are USD dollars. Each entry's `name` is the human-readable label to show the user (e.g. 'HyperEVM', or the account's own name for manually-imported accounts); never show raw provider slugs like 'hyper_evm' or 'general_exchange'.
awaken_get_performance_by_chain
Get the client's current holdings with per-asset cost basis, current value, and unrealized gain/loss, plus net-worth totals. Each holding includes an assetPricingKey to pass into awaken_get_asset_position and awaken_list_tax_lots. Returns the top holdings by value (coins always included; defi included by default; NFTs/perps optional). Monetary amounts are in the client's reporting currency (USD for most). Note: no server-side search/sort/pagination — filter the returned list yourself.
awaken_get_portfolio
Get a quick net-worth snapshot for the client (total value plus a coins/defi/nft breakdown), without the full per-asset holdings list. Net worth equals coins + defi + NFTs; perpetuals and predictions are reported separately. Use awaken_get_portfolio when you also need per-asset detail. Monetary amounts are in the client's reporting currency (USD for most).
awaken_get_portfolio_value
Search the client's assets by symbol, name, contract address, or asset ID (UUID). Returns each asset's id, provider, type, and on-chain identifiers. Use this to find the assetId for awaken_create_transaction / awaken_add_transfer transfers — a transfer's asset must have the SAME provider as the transaction's account (e.g. a 'near' account can only reference provider='near' assets), so pass provider to restrict results to the target account's provider. Assets are client-scoped: only assets Awaken has already seen for this client are returned.
awaken_search_assets
Sets or clears a private NFT price override. It can create or update the client asset record and invalidate portfolio caches. NFT price changes are not recorded in edit-session audit logs and cannot be reverted with awaken_undo_session; restore the prior price explicitly if needed. NFT lookup is limited to the cached portfolio page.
awaken_set_nft_price
Override a single transfer's fiat value on an Awaken transaction — the same edit as the transaction detail UI. field='basis' edits the transfer's cost basis; field='snapshot' edits its fiat value at transaction time. Which field to edit: on a RECEIVED asset, use field='basis' (e.g. an income receive shows 'Cost basis £0.00' — fix it with field='basis'); on a SENT asset, use field='snapshot' to change the proceeds/sale price and field='basis' to change the cost basis consumed. Choose exactly one mode: fiatValue (a manual value in the client's display currency, e.g. 123.45), useAwakenPrice=true (the UI's 'Use value' button: Awaken's historical CoinGecko price for the asset on the transaction date), or revert=true (drop an existing override and return to Awaken's computed value). Get transferId from awaken_list_transactions with includeSplitDetails=true. Marks the transaction for recalculation.
awaken_set_transfer_value
Deprecated: use awaken_split_transaction_into_many for all new split operations, including ordinary one-to-two splits. This compatibility tool splits selected transfer IDs into one new transaction. Pass all transfer IDs if you want to leave only fees on the base transaction.
awaken_split_transaction
Split one Awaken transaction into two or more ordered transactions atomically. Use this for all new one-to-many splits, including ordinary one-to-two splits. The base transaction keeps transfers omitted from splits; each splits entry creates one child, and array order is economic settlement order. All children are created together or none are created.
awaken_split_transaction_into_many
Find transactions for a wallet, split out every visible transfer, and then label the original fee-only transaction. Use dryRun first if you want to inspect the plan.
awaken_split_wallet_transactions_and_label_fees
Start a 1099-DA accounting reconciliation for an eligible broker account. This creates the reconciliation record only; final report files are handled in the Awaken web app.
awaken_start_1099da_form
List the client's AI tax insights (opportunities such as tax-loss harvesting), ranked by potential savings. Each insight includes the estimated USD savings, a title/description, and an assetPricingKey you can pass into the asset-level tools. Filter by status, type, or asset type. Note: supplying limit returns at least 100 results; omit it for the default of 40.
awaken_list_insights
Get the client's total potential tax savings (USD) across all open AI insights — a quick headline number. Use awaken_list_insights for the itemized opportunities.
awaken_get_insights_summary
List acquisition date, quantity, cost basis, average price, and cost-basis method for one asset in the selected client. Availability depends on the client's enabled features.
awaken_list_tax_lots
Get capital-gains, income, futures, and form-readiness summaries for the selected client and tax year. Some formatted values may be unavailable for this client.
awaken_get_tax_summary
List the client's taxable disposals in a date range with per-event cost basis, proceeds, and realized gain/loss (in USD). Use filter='positive' for gains only or filter='negative' for losses only (losses are returned worst-first). Optionally scope to a single assetId or accountId. Monetary amounts are USD dollars.
awaken_list_taxable_events
Get the client's biggest realized winners and losers (by asset) in a date range — useful for tax-loss-harvesting analysis. Returns separate gains and losses lists with per-asset total/long-term/short-term realized gain/loss in USD and disposal counts. Stablecoins are excluded.
awaken_get_top_pnl_assets
List Awaken label options and their categories for discovery and filtering.
awaken_list_labels
Get server-computed realized gains, income, futures, gambling, and regulated-futures totals for a filtered set of the selected client's transactions.
awaken_get_transactions_summary
List Awaken transaction type options for a specific transaction, including category and applicability.
awaken_get_transaction_type_options
List Awaken transactions with the full filter set from the Search Transactions modal: search, review status, labels/accounts/providers/assets with include-or-exclude modes, date range, asset type, gain/loss, inflow/outflow, income, perpetuals, missing basis, negative balances, deleted or edited transactions, duplicate transfers, notes, wash sales, off-chain events, sale term, protocol/stake/address filters, and amount comparisons. Returned incomeAmount values are already in the transaction's display-currency units, not cents. Use awaken_list_accounts for accountIds, awaken_search_assets for assetIds, and awaken_list_labels for labels. walletAddress is retained as a legacy alias for fromOrToAddress.
awaken_list_transactions
Creates an encrypted CSV file and a persisted report record for a selected set of up to 1000 transactions. Returns an Awaken-served signed download link that expires in 3 hours. Each successful retry creates another export; accounting entries are unchanged.
awaken_get_csv_export
Revert supported, audit-logged edits in an MCP session in one call — the session-level counterpart to awaken_undo_audit_logs. Title and transaction-hash changes have no audit rows and cannot be reverted by this tool, even when their calls included sessionId. Get sessionId from awaken_list_edit_sessions. Builds the full reverse-chronological plan (newest edit first) server-side and, by default (dryRun=true), returns it WITHOUT changing anything: each step names the auditLogId, entity/field, the value it would restore (toValue) vs the value currently live (fromValue), whether it's irreversible (a split/merge/cross-chain-swap/bridge-or-internal-marking undo can't itself be undone again later), and whether it's conflicted (a LATER edit from OUTSIDE this session touched the same field, so reverting would clobber that edit — conflicted steps are skipped unless their auditLogId is passed in force). Split pairs are atomic: if either half of a split is conflicted, both halves are skipped together rather than applying one side. dryRun previews also report orphanOverrideCount: a CLIENT-WIDE (not session-scoped) count of user-set transfer overrides that have no audit-log row at all — these predate or bypass the audit trail entirely, so they are invisible to this tool and won't be touched by it; not recomputed on execute calls. Set dryRun=false to actually execute — this runs as a single call to the same undo primitive behind awaken_undo_audit_logs (never batched, so split pairs can't be torn across separate transactions the way a naive per-edit loop could), and re-checks conflicts one more time immediately before applying (in the same DB transaction): anything that became conflicted between the dryRun preview and now is skipped and reported in newlyConflicted, never silently applied. The undo's own compensating audit logs are recorded under a fresh session id (performingSessionId in the response) so the undo itself can later be listed and, for reversible field types, undone again.
awaken_undo_session
Revert specific logged edits by their audit-log IDs — the general-purpose undo behind Awaken's edit history. Get auditLogIds from awaken_list_edit_history (works with an ordinary client write key) or the richer admin-only awaken_list_audit_logs. Reverts label/notes changes, transaction and transfer hidden flags, transfer fiat-value/basis overrides, purchase-date overrides, and split/merge/cross-chain-swap pairings back to their pre-edit values. Reverting a split or merge requires including every audit log that action produced (both the original and the resulting transaction's entries) in the same call — omit one side and the call fails with a validation error naming what's missing. A one-to-many split requires every audit log from the split batch. This does NOT let you re-apply ('redo') a split/merge/cross-chain-swap/bridge-marking/internal-marking undo once it has been reverted — use the original tool (e.g. awaken_split_transaction_into_many) to redo it instead. Only the specific IDs you pass are reverted: if a field was edited more than once, include every audit log for that field you want rolled back, oldest included, or the result may not match the field's original value. This runs atomically: if any auditLogId is invalid or foreign to the client, the whole call fails instead of partially applying, so a successful response means every requested id was reverted — but the response's transactionsAffected is a count of distinct TRANSACTIONS touched, not audit logs (several logs on one transaction collapse to one), so don't read it as a per-log confirmation count. Marks affected transactions dirty for recalculation.
awaken_undo_audit_logs
Update only the impermanent-loss amount of an Awaken accounting transaction.
awaken_update_impermanent_loss
Update only the interest-expense amount of an Awaken accounting transaction.
awaken_update_interest_expense
Update only the missing-basis override of an Awaken accounting transaction.
awaken_update_missing_basis
Update only the realized perpetual PnL of a supported Hyperliquid transaction.
awaken_update_perpetual_pnl
Update only the staking or position account identifier of an Awaken accounting transaction.
awaken_update_staking_account
Update only the occurrence date of an Awaken accounting transaction.
awaken_update_date
Update only the hash or source identifier of an Awaken accounting transaction. Hash changes are not audit-logged and cannot be reverted with awaken_undo_session. Save the original value before editing. Another explicit update can restore a non-empty value, but this tool cannot restore an originally null or empty field.
awaken_update_transaction_hash
Update only the income override of an Awaken accounting transaction.
awaken_update_income
