get_shop

Variants, prices, stock and SKUs for up to 100 listings in ONE request — use this instead of calling get_listing_inventory listing by listing (far fewer Etsy requests). Filter with where (e.g. "20 oz") to find every listing and variant with that option; detail: true lists every variant. Page with offset.

get_shop_inventory

List the shop’s listings (title, state, price, tags, views, link). Use offset to page through.

list_listings

Recent orders: items, totals, dates, ship-by date, payment and shipping status. to_ship: true lists what needs shipping now, soonest ship-by first, with late orders flagged. Buyer names, addresses and contact details are never included.

list_orders

Take one or multiple active listings off sale, without deleting them, in ONE approval. Use listingIds for both single and bulk requests. Requires owner approval unless deactivation auto-approval is enabled. To put listings back on sale later, use propose_reactivate_listing if available (needs publishing permission; Etsy fees may apply).

propose_deactivate_listing

Prepare edits (titles, tags, descriptions, materials, category, shipping profile, return policy, shop section, auto-renew and the other listing settings) to multiple listings in one batch. Large batches prepare and execute in the background. The shop owner gets ONE approval covering all of them — always prefer this over separate propose_listing_update calls when changing more than one listing.

propose_bulk_listing_update

Prepare setting category attributes (e.g. primary colour, occasion, material, size) on up to 10 listings in the same category, in one approval. Attributes help buyers find listings through Etsy filters. Nothing changes on Etsy until the shop owner approves the preview card. Get property and value IDs from get_category_attributes (if available) first.

propose_listing_attributes

Prepare changes to a listing’s title, description, tags, materials, category, shipping profile, return policy, shop section, who/when made, production partners, item size or auto-renew. Does NOT change Etsy: the shop owner approves it first. IDs come from get_shop; categories from search_categories (if available).

propose_listing_update

Prepare marking up to 25 paid orders from the owner’s own Etsy shop as shipped, with tracking number and carrier when available, in ONE approval. Only use it when the owner asks. After the owner approves the preview card, Etsy records the shipment and emails each buyer; this can’t be undone. Find orders with list_orders (to_ship: true) if it is in your tool list. Ask the owner for the tracking numbers AND the carrier (never invent either). Tracking that looks like a placeholder (contains test/sample, repeated digits, or under 8 characters) is refused unless the owner explicitly confirms that exact number; then send unusualTrackingConfirmed: true and the card flags it.

propose_mark_shipped

Prepare a new listing saved as an unpublished draft after the shop owner approves it. Pass variations (e.g. Size and Colour, with optionPrices for sizes that cost more) to create the variants in the same approval. Physical listings need shippingProfileId + readinessStateId; if that shipping profile's type is "calculated", also the packaged weight and dimensions (itemWeight/itemWeightUnit/itemLength/itemWidth/itemHeight/itemDimensionsUnit) — ask the owner. whoMade "someone_else" needs productionPartnerIds. Get all IDs from get_shop first. Digital listings (type "download"): in ChatGPT, if the owner attached the download file in chat, pass it as `file` so draft and file are approved together; otherwise the result includes an upload link for the file.

propose_draft_listing

Prepare permanently deleting listings from the owner’s own Etsy shop (any state, up to 10 per request) in ONE approval. Nothing is deleted until the owner approves the preview card; after that it cannot be undone: photos, stats and favourites are lost. Only use it when the owner clearly asks to delete; if they may want a listing back, use propose_deactivate_listing instead. Deleting always needs the owner’s approval, even with automatic approval on.

Prepare setting the personalization questions buyers answer at checkout (up to 5: typed text or file uploads such as photos), or turning personalization off. Replaces the listing’s current questions, which the preview shows. Nothing changes on Etsy until the shop owner approves the preview card. Write short, clear questions with an example in the instructions.

Prepare adding, removing or reordering photos, or editing their alt text, on one listing in one approval. Removed photos can’t be restored automatically. Nothing changes on Etsy until the shop owner approves the preview card. Add photos from: an image the owner attached in ChatGPT (file), a local file in apps that can read the owner’s computer (local_file, base64), or a public https image link (image_url). Up to 10 new photos per request, 20 per listing. rank 1 = main photo. Call get_listing_images (if available) first for photo IDs. Write alt text that describes the photo plainly (≤500 characters).

Prepare a price change across the variants of one or several listings in ONE approval — all variants, or only those matching a variation value (e.g. “2XL”). Modes: set an exact price, adjust by percent, or adjust by amount.

propose_price_update

Prepare publishing one draft listing (a listing that was never live) in the owner’s own Etsy shop. After the shop owner approves it, the listing becomes publicly visible and available for buyers to purchase on Etsy, and Etsy charges the seller its listing fee ($0.20 USD) on the seller’s Etsy bill. Only use it when the owner asks to publish. Nothing is published until the owner approves (automatic approval for publishing is off by default and only the owner can turn it on). The owner can take it off sale again with propose_deactivate_listing. For listings that were live before and are now inactive or expired, use propose_reactivate_listing (if available).

propose_publish_listing

Put inactive or expired listings from the owner’s own Etsy shop back on sale, in ONE approval (up to 10 per request). After the shop owner approves, the listings become publicly visible and purchasable on Etsy again; expired listings are renewed and Etsy charges the seller $0.20 USD each on the seller’s Etsy bill (the preview shows this fee). Only use it when the owner asks to reactivate or renew. Nothing changes until the owner approves (automatic approval for publishing and reactivation is off by default and only the owner can turn it on). The owner can take them off sale again with propose_deactivate_listing. Not for drafts (use propose_publish_listing, if available) or sold-out listings (add stock instead).

propose_reactivate_listing

Change shop-level settings on the owner’s public Etsy shop in ONE approval: shop title, announcement, the message buyers get after a purchase (and after a digital purchase), and shop sections (add, rename, remove). New text overwrites the current text, and an empty string clears it. Removing a section deletes that section (its listings stay in the shop, without a section) and cannot be undone automatically. Nothing changes until the shop owner reviews the before → after preview and approves it. Get section IDs from get_shop. To move a listing into a section use propose_listing_update with shopSectionId. Applied text changes can be restored with propose_revert_action; section changes cannot.

Prepare stock changes, turning variants on/off, or setting a SKU across one or many listings in ONE approval — all variants, or those matching where (e.g. "2XL", "Red"). quantity sets stock (0 = mark sold out), quantityChange adds or subtracts. Prices are not touched (use propose_price_update). Nothing changes on Etsy until the shop owner approves the preview card. Find listings and exact option names with get_shop_inventory (if available) first.

propose_inventory_update

Undo a finished change, with a new approval. Listing edits: restores the saved before-values. Price changes: restores every variant to its exact earlier price (for changes made after exact price backups were introduced). Deactivation: reactivates the listings (needs publishing permission; Etsy fee warning shown). Publishing and new drafts cannot be reverted — the tool explains the right alternative. Never overwrites newer changes. For changes that touched more than 10 listings, pass up to 10 listingIds at a time.

propose_revert_action

Prepare renaming variation options (e.g. sizes “S” → “Small”, or “Heather Grey” → “Sport Grey”) across one or several listings in ONE approval. Only the option names change; prices, stock, SKUs and enabled variants are kept. Nothing changes on Etsy until the shop owner approves the preview card. Use get_listing_inventory first for the exact current names. Pass variation (e.g. “Size”) to limit renames to one variation. Set partial: true to replace text inside option names (e.g. “T-Shirt” → “Tee” in “Gildan 5000 T-Shirt - S”).

Prepare adding variations to a listing, or replacing its current ones: up to 2 (e.g. Size × Colour, max 400 combinations), a base price and stock, prices per option (e.g. 2XL +$2 via optionPrices), and exceptions per combination (combos: price, stock, SKU or off). Replacing overwrites the current variants, which the preview shows. Nothing changes on Etsy until the shop owner approves the preview card. For a NEW listing, pass variations to propose_draft_listing instead. To change prices or stock of existing variants, use propose_price_update / propose_inventory_update (if available).

get_change_progress

Send a bug report, feature request or question to the ConnectMyShop support team on the owner’s behalf (it is saved to the owner’s ConnectMyShop account and emailed to the team; nothing changes on Etsy). Offer it when a ConnectMyShop tool or approved change fails in a way the owner can’t fix, when the owner asks for something ConnectMyShop can’t do yet, or when they want to give feedback. Ask the owner before sending, and include what they were trying to do and any error text. Never include buyer names, addresses or other customer data.

research_products

Find Etsy shops by name, or the shops selling a product (e.g. "gold rings"), with lifetime sales, rating, reviews, favourites and listing count from Etsy. Read-only market research; nothing is stored.

search_shops

For a search phrase: how many active listings compete, the tags and title words the top 100 listings use most, their price range, and how many offer personalization or variations. Pass compareListingId to see which popular tags one of the owner’s listings is missing. Then propose tag/title edits with the edit tools.

research_keyword

Find the right Etsy category (taxonomy ID) for a product, e.g. "graphic t-shirt" or "phone case". Use before creating a draft or changing a category.
