Integration details

Description

Publish changes to your website hosted on CR Servers, straight from ChatGPT. Ask ChatGPT to edit a page, update a price or add a photo: it prepares the change in a draft, gives you a private preview link, and publishes it to your live site only after you confirm. Every published change can be undone with one sentence. You sign in with your CR Servers client area account and choose which website ChatGPT may work on. It works only with that website's files (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images) and can't access your email, DNS, databases, certificates or billing. Requires an active CR Servers shared hosting service.

Tools

17 tools agents can invoke

Recent changes made through the connector.
get_activity_log
Saves photos or other media files the user attached in the chat to the draft stored on CR Servers (the live site doesn't change until publish). Give one site path per file, in the same order (e.g. "img/team.jpg"). Media only (images, video, audio, fonts, PDF); each file must really be the type its path says.
add_attachments
Marks files for deletion and saves that to the draft stored on CR Servers. The files are deleted from the live site only when the draft is published.
delete_files
Drops a draft and its staged files. The live site is not touched.
discard_changeset
Saves an edited copy of a text file to the draft stored on CR Servers (kept until published or discarded, at most 24 hours), changing only the given passages so the whole file isn't resent. Reversible: it never overwrites or deletes files on the live site (only publish does), the draft can be dropped with discard_changeset, and every publish can be undone with revert_release. Each old_text must appear exactly once (add surrounding text to make it unique). Works on the draft version if the file was already changed in this draft, otherwise on the live version.
edit_file
Downloads a media file (image, video, audio, font or PDF) from a public http(s) link and saves it to the draft stored on CR Servers at `path` (the live site doesn't change until publish). Use it for images you generated, stock photos, or Google Drive / Dropbox share links (made public). The file must really be of the type its path says.
import_from_url
Lists one folder of the live site, or of a draft when changeset_id is given.
list_files
The last 5 publishes and reverts, newest first. Each can be reverted.
list_releases
The sites (domains) this connection can work on. When there are several, pass site to the tools that take it.
list_sites
Summarizes what the draft will change, checks for conflicts, and returns preview_url: a private link (valid 1 hour) that shows the draft as the site would look. Required before publish; give the user the summary and the link, and ask for confirmation.
preview_changeset
Publishes the previewed draft to the live site. Only after the user explicitly confirms. Saves an undo record first. If the site owner asked to approve every publish, returns needs_approval with an approval_url for the user instead.
publish
Reads a text file (≤1 MB) from the live site or a draft, 20000 characters at a time (use offset/next_offset for more). Binary files return size and hash only. The hash covers the whole file: pass it as base_hash when writing. To change part of a large file, prefer edit_file.
read_file
Puts the files back as they were before the given release, undoing it and any later releases. The revert itself can be undone. Only after the user confirms.
revert_release
Domain, live URL, permission and latest release.
get_site_info
Creates a new draft on CR Servers, based on the live site, where changes are saved before publishing (kept up to 24 hours). The live site doesn't change until publish.
start_changeset
Size caps and allowed file types.
get_usage_limits
Saves new or updated copies of files to the draft stored on CR Servers (kept until published or discarded, at most 24 hours). Reversible: it never overwrites or deletes files on the live site (only publish does), the draft can be dropped with discard_changeset, and every publish can be undone with revert_release. ≤50 files and ≤5 MB per call. Use encoding "base64" for binary files.
