Description

Attach a photo or name a machine to explore how it works. Cutaway identifies the likely model, looks for technical references, and creates an interactive cutaway with selectable parts, controls, and HTML or SVG downloads. It distinguishes documented details from illustrative internals and unknowns. You can also open finished models of the GE9X jet engine, wing designs, an espresso machine, and a boxer engine. Each includes explanations, sources, and its simplifications. The hosted tools open the finished models inside ChatGPT. Custom drawings use the image, search, file, and code tools available in your session. Photos and custom drawings aren’t sent to Cutaway’s server. You don’t need a separate API key or Cutaway account. The drawing toolkit comes from Ryan’s (@wheresryan22) MIT-licensed /anatomy. Optional glow and palettes come from April Zhu’s iso-glow, based on Tolga Cohce’s iso-figure. Cutaway adapts their work for ChatGPT and keeps the upstream licenses.
