Daffy

Cancel a donation from the user's Daffy fund that has not been paid out yet, returning its amount to the fund's available balance. Only donations whose status is SCHEDULED or APPROVED can be cancelled - anything already processing, mailed, or completed cannot. THIS PERMANENTLY DELETES the donation: it disappears from list_donations entirely rather than being kept as a cancelled record, and cannot be undone through this tool. Always confirm the exact donation with the user first. Pass the numeric `id` from list_donations.

cancel_donation

Look up a single charity by its EIN (US tax ID). Accepts '12-3456789' or '123456789'. Returns the charity's name, location, website, cause categories, logo, and Daffy profile URL. Only active, donation-eligible charities are returned.

get_charity

Get the USD balances of the user's Daffy fund. The fund is one pool of money: `total_balance` is all of it, and total_balance = cash_balance + invested_balance + pending_contributions - those pieces are already counted, so never add fields together to report a larger balance. Money invested in a portfolio can still be donated because Daffy sells portfolio units to fund the donation; `cash_balance` can be negative while donations settle. `illiquid_balance` is donated assets (stock, crypto) still awaiting liquidation and is not part of `total_balance`. `available_to_donate` is the exact amount a new donation is checked against right now: it also counts scheduled contributions arriving within a day and subtracts already-scheduled donations and pending refunds, so it is not derivable from the other fields and can be higher or lower than `total_balance`. Answer a plain "what is my balance" question with `total_balance`; answer "how much can I donate" with `available_to_donate`.

get_fund_balance

Get how the user's Daffy fund is invested and how it has performed: the portfolio the fund is invested in (name, category, description, units held, latest unit price) with its asset allocation, investment returns over every available time window, and lifetime fund details (giving power, contributions, donations, donation rate). `portfolio` is null when the fund is not invested in a portfolio, and return figures are null for a fund with no market history. Every `*_percent` field is already a percentage: 4.1 means 4.1%. Amounts are USD. For the fund's balance use get_fund_balance instead - this tool covers investments and performance, and the money invested here is the same money the balance tool reports as `invested_balance`, not an extra pot.

get_portfolio

Generate the user's Daffy fund activity statement as CSV for a date range: contributions, donations, fees, and other balance changes, framed by the starting and ending balance. Dates are YYYY-MM-DD and must fall within the same calendar year. Recent activity needs a short settlement cooldown, so the last day or two may not appear yet. Returns two text parts: a JSON header (filename, covered range) followed by the raw CSV.

get_statement_csv

List contributions (money added) to the user's Daffy fund: cash, bank transfers, card, stock, and crypto. Optionally filter by year or status. By default only PENDING, SUCCESS, and WAITING_FOR_FUNDS contributions are returned. `valuation` is the USD value; `units` is the raw asset quantity (equal to valuation for cash). Paginated via `page` and `page_size`.

list_contributions

List the donations made from the user's Daffy fund, newest first. Optionally filter by year or by a charity's numeric non_profit_id (from a previous donation result). Each donation includes amount, status, the charity, any note, and timestamps. Paginated: pass `page`; `meta.last` is the final page number. Page size is fixed by the server.

list_donations

Make a donation from the user's Daffy fund to a charity identified by EIN. THIS MOVES REAL MONEY and cannot be undone through this tool - always confirm the exact charity and amount with the user before calling. Minimum donation: $10. If the fund has insufficient funds, the error includes the available balance. Optional: a public note, a private memo (visible only to the user's fund), and a tip to support Daffy.

make_donation

Search Daffy's directory of over 1.5 million US charities (501(c)(3) nonprofits) by name or keyword. Returns matching charities with their EIN (tax ID), name, location, website, and cause categories. Use the returned `ein` with `get_charity` or `make_donation`. Results are paginated; `meta.last` is the final page number.
