Integration details

Description

dots brain is a relationship-first second brain. Instead of piling up notes, it keeps each person as a single record — what you call them, how you know them, how close you are, the groups they belong to, who they're connected to, and a dated history of what happened — profile and group changes are added to it automatically. Ask ChatGPT about someone before a meeting, find people you haven't talked to in a while, or tell it what you learned and it writes it down for you. Everything ChatGPT reads or writes shows up in an activity log you can review, and you can edit, export, or delete your data at any time.

Tools

14 tools agents can invoke

Record a meeting, conversation, fact, to-do, or insight. Names in people are linked automatically, and unknown people are created. Call whenever something worth remembering comes up.
add_note
Add a person to a group, optionally with a role (e.g. "CEO", "backend engineer"). Creates the person or group if missing.
add_to_group
Get a group and its members with their roles. Look up by name or id.
get_group
Get everything known about one person: profile, how they relate to the user, relationships with other people, groups, and recent notes (newest first). daysSinceLastContact tells you how long it has been. Empty fields are omitted. Look up by name, nickname, or id.
get_person
Get the user's own profile, groups, explicit relationships, and recent notes.
get_me
Record a relationship between two people (from → to), e.g. A manages B, A introduced B.
link_people
List groups (companies, communities, teams, family, school) with member counts. Optionally filter by name.
list_groups
List recent notes (meetings, conversations, facts, to-dos, insights), newest first. Optionally filter by person, keyword, or the last N days.
list_notes
Merge a duplicate person (source) into another (target): notes, relationships, and groups move to target and source is deleted. Irreversible — confirm with the user first.
merge_people
Use this first for questions like "Who should I reach out to?", "Who haven't I talked to in a while?", or "Who should I catch up with this week?" — one call returns ranked suggestions, so there is no need to fetch every person. It returns people the user is close to but hasn't contacted in a while (closeness 5 → 14 days, 4 → 30, 3 → 60, otherwise 120), with how many days it has been.
people_to_reconnect
Create or update a group (company, community, team, family, school). Pass members to add several people at once; unknown names are created.
upsert_group
Create or update a person, matched by name or nickname. Only the fields you send are changed. Call when you learn something new: a new role, how they relate to the user, or a context summary.
upsert_person
Search people and notes in the user's relationship brain — names, nicknames, organizations, roles, tags, and note text. Call this first whenever the user mentions someone. Best with a name or a few keywords; multi-word queries also match on each word. For "who should I reach out to / catch up with" questions, use people_to_reconnect instead of searching everyone.
search_brain
Create or update the user's own profile. Only the fields you send are changed.

FAQs

dots brain ChatGPT Plugin FAQ

How the directory, categories and Discoverability Score work.

Read the methodology

How do I improve dots brain's ChatGPT Plugin discoverability?

The levers are the listing surface agents actually read: names, descriptions, keywords, tool metadata, and registry health. Which lever matters depends on where discovery breaks, which is what continuous measurement shows.

Where is this profile measured?

This profile uses the geography attached to the latest public registry snapshot: US. Locale tags are intentionally omitted.
