Description
See the change. Check the proof. Challenge the story. A profit headline tells you what happened to one number. FilingLantern helps you see what the reported figures can support—and where the explanation stops. Explore 1,000 dated company cards for US-listed securities. Read reported revenue, profit, EPS and assets, with operating income, cash from operations, liabilities, equity and diluted shares where the filing reports them. Compare fiscal periods, keep missing data visible and follow the SEC sources behind each figure. For a deeper check, Evidence & Challenge currently covers two reviewed annual report pairs: FIX and CME, fiscal 2024 → 2025. These are two complete, source-checked cases; the full evidence workflow is not available for all 1,000 companies. Open an evidence card and ask more of the explanation: • Show the proof: exact source figures, document locations and reproducible calculations. • Challenge the claim: see whether the same evidence supports it, weakens it, contradicts it or leaves the question unresolved. • Check the accounting first: operating result, non-operating items and tax must reconcile to the change in net income. A missing input or accounting gap stops further claims. • Keep the periods honest: a quote must concern the same two fiscal years as the numerical comparison. FIX shows how a change in annual profit reconciles. CME tests something different: clearing-collateral earnings together with distributions to clearing participants, and the earnings available to common shareholders separately from consolidated profit. Preferred-share allocations are not labelled as noncontrolling interests. Every action stays with the same immutable evidence package. A management statement remains an attributed statement, not independent proof of a business cause. New filings do not automatically overwrite reviewed cards. Start with: “Analyze FIX’s 2024 and 2025 annual results. Show the evidence card, then challenge the explanation.” The 1,000-company snapshot is dated October 3, 2026. The FIX and CME annual evidence pairs were reviewed on October 6, 2026. This is company research, without live quotes, forecasts, buy/sell recommendations, trade execution or proof of causation from accounting alone.

Read the methodologyHow do I improve FilingLantern's ChatGPT Plugin discoverability?
The levers are the listing surface agents actually read: names, descriptions, keywords, tool metadata, and registry health. Which lever matters depends on where discovery breaks, which is what continuous measurement shows.
