Flypost

Create a Brain notebook (a source collection) and optionally seed it with pasted text items. Returns its source_package_id — the id every other source tool needs. Blocks until the seeded items are searchable, and reports how many were embedded. FIRST call flypost_list_sources: a notebook is a TOPIC collection the user picks to scope a brainstorm, so add items to a fitting existing notebook with flypost_add_source_text instead of creating a near-duplicate. Only create one when the topic is genuinely new, and seed it with every item you have rather than one notebook per snippet. Material you are supplying to back a specific idea needs no notebook at all — pass it on flypost_save_idea/flypost_save_concept and it is filed into your own Source automatically.

Create a draft: pass content_bank_item_id to draft from a developed concept (reuses an existing draft when one exists), or pass text (or nothing) for a free-form post. For agent-authored posts, write the text yourself grounded on flypost_get_writing_voice + flypost_search_brain.

Give a TEXT post an AI-made picture (the app's "Create an image with AI" button). Two steps, and the user chooses in between: come up with 2-3 picture ideas yourself from the post (each: a short title, a 1-2 sentence description of what is in the frame and how it is composed, and optional on_image_text of at most 6 words), or call action 'ideas' to have Flypost pitch three. SHOW THE USER THE IDEAS AND LET THEM PICK before action 'create': rendering costs from their image allowance. 'create' renders the chosen idea with the brand's palette, adds it to the post's photos (it publishes with the post) and blocks until it lands (usually under a minute). Rules for ideas: concrete and drawable, tied to this post, never a real product's UI or logo, no brand name, and the words on the image never claim more than the post does (a post that says 'reportedly' gets no image stating it as fact). For image/infographic/carousel posts use flypost_generate_image instead; for an image the user supplied, flypost_attach_post_image.

Develop an idea-stage content bank item into a full concept with Flypost's server-side writer (research + format-specific editing — a billed AI pass that writes the slide/visual copy for you). Blocks until developed (typically 2-5 minutes). If you already wrote the slides or visual brief yourself, use flypost_save_concept instead — it skips this step entirely.

Adjust an article's brief before it is written — the app's Brief screen. Drop or restore sources, switch research mode, and reorder outline sections. Read the current brief (ids included) from flypost_get_article or the result of flypost_generate_article mode 'prepare'/'outline'. Source and research-mode changes apply on the next outline rebuild: run flypost_generate_article mode 'outline' after this, as the app's "Update brief" does. Section order applies to the next 'write'. To add a NEW Brain source, use add_source_ids on flypost_generate_article mode 'outline' instead.

flypost_update_article_brief

Run Flypost's own long-form writer (server-side AI + web research). Prefer flypost_save_article when you can write the article yourself — it is faster and costs the user nothing. Use this when the user explicitly asks for Flypost to write it, or wants its built-in research. It runs the same staged flow as the app: (1) create with topic + target_query + angle and mode 'prepare' (Brain retrieval into a brief); (2) mode 'outline' builds the outline; (3) read the brief with flypost_get_article and adjust it with flypost_update_article_brief (drop weak sources, switch research mode, reorder sections); (4) after changing sources, run mode 'outline' again to rebuild — optionally with feedback and add_source_ids; (5) mode 'write' (default) writes the full article from the brief, blocking up to ~20 minutes. Pass feedback with mode 'write' to refine an existing body. Always set target_query: it steers the writer and is what keyword tracking reports on.

Generate an AI cover image (16:9) for a Pulse article. Blocks until ready (typically 1-3 minutes). Returns editor_url — hand it to the user so they can see the cover in place on the article.

Turn one passage of a Pulse article into a branded infographic image (the editor's "Create infographic" flow). The server creates a hidden content bank item and runs the art-director + image pipeline; this blocks until the image is ready (typically 1-4 minutes). Returns the finished image urls plus the content_bank_item_id and editor_url — hand editor_url to the user so they can see the graphic in place in the article.

Generate branded images for a content bank item. variant: 'infographic' (classic), 'square' (clean square body for the canvas editor), 'single' (flat Image post — meme/stat/comparison/product). Works on any concept-stage item — including ones you authored with flypost_save_concept (no develop pass needed). Blocks until images are ready (typically 2-6 minutes). Image budget/entitlement gates apply server-side. Returns editor_url: ALWAYS hand that link to the user — the image is reviewed, branded and attached to the post in the editor, and a raw image url on its own is a dead end. Stat and comparison Images ship logo-free on purpose; the user places the logo there via "Add logo".

Save a concept whose WORDS you wrote yourself: carousel slides, or the title/angle brief for a single image or infographic. Lands at concept stage with no flypost_develop_concept pass (and no AI billing). Returns editor_url — the in-app editor for this concept. Single images: set image_substyle AND the matching image_copy (the exact words baked onto the image) — the render uses those verbatim; without them the image model invents the headline and can feature the wrong number. Infographics: same deal — set infographic_style AND the matching infographic_copy, which carries every figure and line the graphic shows. The prose angle does NOT reach the image model intact, so any number you leave only in the angle gets invented. Image posts: continue to flypost_generate_image. Carousels: the slides have NO images yet — follow the returned next_steps (generate per-slide images with flypost_carousel_slide_image, or hand the user editor_url) before any flypost_build_carousel render. Pass content_bank_item_id to overwrite an existing item in place; omit it to create a new one. Ground the copy via flypost_get_writing_voice + flypost_search_source_docs first. The angle you pass is automatically filed into a per-agent Brain source package so your framing stays visible and checkable — pass agent_name so it is filed under your name.

flypost_save_concept

PREFERRED way to produce a Pulse article: write the article yourself and save it here. Omit article_id to create a new one, or pass it to replace an existing article body. Before writing, read flypost_get_brand_kit + flypost_get_writing_voice and ground claims with flypost_search_source_docs. Body is markdown (## headings, lists, links); the app converts it for the editor. Use flypost_generate_article instead only when the user explicitly wants Flypost's own writer with its built-in web research.

flypost_save_article

Save a post idea you authored yourself into the content bank. Use flypost_get_brand_kit + flypost_search_brain first so the idea fits the brand and its material. The idea can then be developed with flypost_develop_concept. Any material you pass in angle/development_notes is automatically filed into a per-agent Brain source package ('<agent_name> — agent-provided material'), so it stays visible, searchable and covered by claim verification. Put the research you did (what happened, sources, dates, how to frame it) in development_notes: develop uses those notes as this idea's own research, ahead of anything else in the Brain — pass agent_name so it is filed under your name. This tool refuses ideas that duplicate an existing idea, the argument already made in one of its drafts, or a post the user has already published; run flypost_check_coverage on your candidates first so you find that out before you write them, not after.

Publish a post draft to LinkedIn now, or schedule it for a future time. Carousels must have their PDF built first (flypost_build_carousel). Blocks until the provider confirms (publish-now) or the schedule is registered. A project can hold several identities (the user's profile, teammates' profiles, company pages) — say who to post as with post_as; the choice is recorded on the post and shown in the Posts list and calendar.

Score post text on the authenticity rubric (how human/authentic it reads — low scores risk LinkedIn throttling). Pass a draft_id or raw text.

LAST RESORT. Passage-level Brain search that runs a server-side LLM to extract quotes — 20–40s and it bills the user's AI budget. Use flypost_search_source_docs first: it returns the full source documents for the same query in ~2s at no AI cost, and you can pick the quotes out yourself. Only fall back to this tool if those documents were genuinely insufficient.

The default way to ground content in the user's own material: whole-document Brain search (vector only, ~2s, no AI billing). Returns the matching source documents with REAL source item ids (usable to pin sources on articles) — read them and pull the quotes, stats and anecdotes you need. Optionally include a relevance pre-check for a topic.

Search the posts gathered from the LinkedIn thought leaders this project monitors (the Inspiration / Monitoring feature). With no query it returns their biggest outperformers: posts ranked by reactions against that creator's own median (vs_creator_median = 3 means 3x their usual). With a query it keyword-matches post text and topics. Sort by 'recent' to catch LinkedIn news and changes creators are talking about this week. Use it to learn what is resonating and what is being discussed — never to copy another creator's wording or pass off their claims as the user's. Read-only and unbilled.

Replace a draft's post text — the autosave-equivalent edit. This REPLACES existing text; the result includes previous_text so you can restore it if the overwrite was a mistake. Follow the project writing voice (flypost_get_writing_voice). Line breaks are preserved as LinkedIn paragraphs.

The user's own published LinkedIn posts with LinkedIn's native numbers (impressions, reach, reactions, comments, saves, engagement rate), ranked, plus median impressions per format. Covers every post on their profile, not just ones published through Flypost. Use it BEFORE pitching ideas: find which topics and formats actually earned reach, and model new ideas on those rather than on guesses. Read-only and unbilled.
