Forktime

Create the reservation. Requires the guest's real phone in E.164 (e.g. +14165551234) — the confirmation and the manage/cancel link are texted there. `time` must be a 24-hour HH:mm value from get_availability. Only call this after the guest has confirmed the venue, date, time and party size back to you. There is no way to edit or cancel through this server; the guest uses the SMS link.

book

Bookable times for a venue on a day, for a specific party size. Only times that can actually seat that party come back — a slot with covers free but no table that fits is not returned. Pass a `time` value from `slots[].time` straight to book.

get_availability

A venue's booking rules before you take details: opening hours, the party size that must call instead of booking online, and any custom fields this restaurant requires. Call it when the guest names a large group, or before book if you have not seen this venue before — book will reject on these rules otherwise.

get_venue

Resolve a restaurant the guest NAMED ("do you have Il Caminetto?", "book Medusa") to one venue. Pass the name AS THE GUEST SAID IT — do not correct it, do not pick from a list yourself. Returns matched (one venue), ambiguous (several — ask the guest which), or not_found. Treat ambiguous as a normal outcome and ask; it means two venues were genuinely too close to call.

lookup_venue

Find restaurants by AREA, CUISINE and DIETARY need — "somewhere Italian near Fitzroy that does vegan". Pass the place as the guest said it (suburb, neighbourhood or city); it is geocoded and matched by distance, so a suburb works even when the venue lists a different one. Give `date` and `partySize` to get real open times back with each result. Returns a `slug` per venue — address every other tool by that. If the guest NAMED a specific restaurant, use lookup_venue instead: this ranks by description and will return plausible near-misses for a name.
