Integration details

Description

Inkspired is a platform where authors write and publish serialized stories and build the universes behind them. This connector gives your AI assistant access to your own Inkspired author workspace, so it can help you write, revise and understand your work without copy-pasting. What it can do: Browse your work: list your stories and open any chapter, including drafts. Draft and revise: create new stories and chapter drafts, and save changes to drafts. Proofread safely: suggest corrections that you review and apply. Every change an assistant makes to a chapter is backed up first, so you can restore the previous version. Build your world: create universes, link stories to them, and add, update or link glossary entries for characters, places and lore. Understand your readers: read the comments and reviews on your chapters, see your writing stats, and view story performance. Performance includes reads, likes, retention and drop-off, demographics and rankings, within the limits of your plan. Stay on top of activity: check your recent notifications. What it can't do: it can never publish, schedule or delete anything. Those actions stay with you on Inkspired. It only has access to your own account, you approve its permissions when you connect, and you can disconnect it at any time.

add_glossary_entries
Applies exact text corrections to one of the author's chapters, draft or published, keeping its formatting, images and inline comments. Takes corrections directly and/or ids of saved suggestions, and can dismiss suggestions. All or nothing: if any correction does not match exactly once, nothing changes. The previous text is kept as a backup.
apply_chapter_corrections
Adds a new draft chapter at the end of one of the author's stories. Drafts are not visible to readers and trigger no notifications; publishing is only possible from Inkspired itself. Text is plain paragraphs separated by blank lines; lines starting with '# ' become headings.
create_chapter_draft
Creates a new unpublished story for the author as a serial story with chapters, a short tale or a blog, with an empty first draft chapter. Publishing is only possible from Inkspired itself.
create_story
Creates a new unpublished universe owned by the author, optionally linking one of their stories to it right away. Publishing the universe is only possible from Inkspired itself.
create_universe
Returns the public reader comments on one of the author's chapters, newest first, including inline paragraph comments with the paragraph they quote. Anonymous commenters are shown as Anonymous.
get_chapter_comments
Returns the reviews readers left on one of the author's stories (optionally one chapter), newest first: star rating, the five rated aspects (plot, style, characters, originality, overall), the review text, and totals with averages and the rating distribution.
get_story_reviews
Returns one of the author's stories: description, age rating, dates and the full chapter list (ids, numbers, titles, draft/published status, word counts). Reader statistics come from get_story_performance.
get_story
Returns the statistics of the author's story metrics page for a published story: period totals and daily/weekly series (reads, likes, comments, reviews, shares, followers, completions, reading time), lifetime totals, the per-chapter table, reader retention and drop-off, reader demographics and category rankings. Access and Premium PRO limits are the same as on the metrics page.
get_story_performance
Returns every glossary entry (characters, places, items, creatures, lexicon, events, organizations, technology, culture, history, society, vehicles, weapons and gear, techniques and magic, storylines) of the universes a story is linked to, with entry ids for updates.
get_worldbuilding
Returns the author's weekly word counts (words written per week and running total) plus their current total across all stories.
get_writing_stats
Links one of the author's stories to one of their universes (or updates an existing link's role and canon flag). Characters, places and events that were saved on the story itself move into the universe.
link_story_to_universe
Records that up to 50 glossary entries appear in one of the author's chapters. The chapter's story must be linked to the entries' universe. Entries already linked stay as they are; nothing is unlinked.
link_glossary_to_chapter
Returns the author's latest Inkspired notifications (last six months, newest first) as worded on the website, each with its category (account, my_stories, communities), read state, date and a url that opens it on Inkspired and marks it read.
list_my_notifications
Lists the stories the signed-in Inkspired author writes (as author or coauthor), newest activity first, with status, format, word count and published chapter count.
list_my_stories
Lists the author's universes (as author or coauthor): name, published or not, how many entries of each glossary type they hold, and which of the author's stories are linked to each.
list_my_universes
Returns the text of one of the author's chapters (published or draft) as plain text. Long chapters come in windows of 60,000 characters: call again with offset=next_offset to continue. Chat stories are rendered as 'Name texted: ...' lines.
get_chapter
Puts back the text one of the author's chapters had before the last applied correction (or a given backup). The current text is backed up first, so the restore can be undone too.
restore_chapter_backup
Replaces the full text (and optionally the title) of one of the author's chapters whose status is Draft or Unpublished, overwriting its current text. Published chapters are refused. Text is plain paragraphs separated by blank lines.
save_chapter_draft
Saves proposed text corrections for one of the author's chapters without changing the chapter. Each suggestion must match exactly one place in the chapter; ones that do not are returned as rejected. Returns suggestion ids to apply later.
suggest_chapter_corrections
Updates one glossary entry in the author's universes. Only the fields passed change. By default only empty fields are filled; set overwrite to true to replace text that is already there.

FAQs

Inkspired ChatGPT Plugin FAQ

How the directory, categories and Discoverability Score work.

Read the methodology

How do I improve Inkspired's ChatGPT Plugin discoverability?

The levers are the listing surface agents actually read: names, descriptions, keywords, tool metadata, and registry health. Which lever matters depends on where discovery breaks, which is what continuous measurement shows.

Where is this profile measured?

This profile uses the geography attached to the latest public registry snapshot: US. Locale tags are intentionally omitted.
