Description

Internet Computer (ICP) is the official ICP ecosystem connector, provided and hosted by DFINITY Stiftung. Work with participating apps in conversation: discover their services, inspect interfaces and documentation, read public or account-specific data, and request supported non-financial changes. App operators explicitly opt in. By publishing a valid participation manifest at their app's origin (/.well-known/ic-architecture), they accept the ICP MCP App Operator Terms and declare which canisters belong to the app. The connector retrieves canister metadata and submits queries or updates only to canisters declared in that valid manifest. Removing it ends participation once the connector observes the removal. Operator terms: https://internetcomputer.org/icp-mcp/app-operator-terms/ Users authorize access separately. To act as you or access your account data, connect through Internet Identity and choose the session duration and permission level. Questions only permits reads; Actions & questions also permits supported changes. The connection can be used across participating apps you direct the assistant to, using your app-specific identity and the app's existing access controls. Operator opt-in does not grant access to a user's account. The connector supports Candid interfaces and calls, efficient OQL queries where apps expose them, and app-specific account and identity lookup. Available data and actions depend on the participating app and your permissions. Financial operations, token transfers, and direct canister funding or deployment are outside this connector's supported functionality.

Read from a canister, either by calling a Candid `query` method or by running an OQL query. Pass exactly one of the two. get_canister_candid says which path a canister uses; a Candid `method` query to an OQL canister is refused here. Runs anonymously unless given a derivation origin, which acts as the user's account at that app. OQL queries cannot be called anonymously.
