Jotterful

Send a note to the user's Jotterful account, exactly as if they had typed it into Jotterful's Jot down box. Jotterful decides which jotpad it belongs in (for example 'buy oat milk' goes on a shopping list) and adds it, matching that jotpad's style. Pass the user's note in their own words, without commentary. Returns what Jotterful changed , as a summary and a diff. Invoke when a user asks to jot down, make note of, capture, note, or save something to Jotterful or to one of their jotpads (notepads/notes/etc.).

jot_down

Use this when you need to discover the user's Jotterful jotpads (notepads/notes/etc.). Returns titles, last-changed times, and opening lines as data without displaying a widget. When the user names a jotpad, call read_jotpad with title directly instead of listing first. Use search_jotpads if a lookup is needed for a topic; use show_jotpads when the user asks to see or browse all their jotpads.

list_jotpads

File the note behind a change into a different jotpad, by the change_id jot_down returned, and take the change back out of the jotpad it first landed in. A note that was never filed anywhere is simply filed. Only Jotterful's app calls this, when the user picks a jotpad to move a note to; to change a jotpad for the user, use jot_down. Returns the new change, which can itself be undone.

move_change

Use this when the user asks what is on a particular Jotterful jotpad (notepad/note/etc.). Returns its full Markdown content and displays that jotpad. When the user names a jotpad, call this directly with title, without listing or searching first. For example, 'what is on my shopping list jotpad' means title='shopping list'. A unique partial title also works. Use jotpad_id if already known; use list_jotpads or search_jotpads only if discovery is needed.

read_jotpad

Save the user's own edits to a jotpad from Jotterful's app. Only the app calls this, when the user presses Save; to change a jotpad for the user, use jot_down. Nothing is saved if the jotpad changed since the app loaded base_content.

save_jotpad

Search the titles and contents of the user's Jotterful jotpads (aka notepads/notes/etc.) for words and return the matching jotpads with the lines that matched. Use this when the user asks what they noted about something.

search_jotpads

Use this when the user asks to see or browse all their Jotterful jotpads (notepads/notes/etc.). Displays the full jotpad browser. Do not use this to find a particular jotpad: call read_jotpad with title directly when the user names one, or use the data-only list_jotpads or search_jotpads tools for discovery.

show_jotpads

Take a change jot_down made back out of its jotpad, by the change_id jot_down returned. Only Jotterful's app calls this, when the user presses Undo. Undoing a note that created a jotpad deletes that jotpad.
