nearby_attractions

Discover tourist attractions in Romania from the Vacanța România database for broad, inspirational requests that are not a precise name search, e.g. "locuri de vizitat în natură lângă Brașov", "historic places in Buzău county", "idei pentru un weekend în Maramureș", "lesser-known places in Romania", "cascade și lacuri". Combine any of: county (județ), locality, category (nature, culture, history, adventure, religious, food, other), theme (free word such as "natură", "castele", "mănăstiri", "hiking", "lesser-known" — mapped to a real category when possible, otherwise used as search text), keywords (any may match) and coordinates with radius_km for geographic discovery. The response includes applied_filters showing exactly which filters were used; "relaxed": true means keywords were dropped because nothing matched them, and "lesser_known": true means only non-featured attractions were returned. No property is invented: filtering uses only real database fields (category, county, coordinates, text). Results have short descriptions and page URLs; call get_attraction for full details. Use search_attractions for exact-name lookups and nearby_attractions when only coordinates matter.

Search the Vacanța România tourism database (vacantaromania.ro) for tourist attractions in Romania. Use this tool when the user asks for attractions by name, keyword, county (județ), town/locality or category, e.g. "cascade din România", "ce pot vizita în județul Buzău", "castele în Transilvania", "muzee în Sibiu". Data: ~500 verified, published attractions (natural sites, castles, fortresses, monasteries, museums, hiking areas) with Romanian and English texts, coordinates, images and the public page URL. Filters combine with AND: county restricts to one Romanian county; locality is matched against addresses/descriptions; category is one of nature, culture, history, adventure, religious, food, other; query is free text matched against names, descriptions and addresses (diacritics optional). At least one of query, county, locality or category is required. Results are paginated with limit (max 20) and offset; "total" is the full match count. Returns short descriptions (max ~400 chars). Call get_attraction with the slug for the full description. For "what is near X" questions with coordinates, prefer nearby_attractions.
