Anida Clinical Trials

Use this to check whether a pre-screening session still has questions pending or is already complete — for example, before submitting answers from a question card in an older conversation. Also the way to collect a result when a previous tool answered status 'processing': poll every few seconds until the status changes, then act on the returned result. Read-only; it changes no screening state.

get_prescreening_status

Use this only when the previous tool result had status 'needs_input' — the pre-screening asked the patient something conversational, such as how long they have had the condition or how far they would travel for a study. Pass the patient's reply. Do not use it for the structured question batches; those go to submit_prescreening_answers.

continue_prescreening

Use this when the patient does not understand one of the pre-screening questions and asks what it means, such as an unfamiliar medical term. Pass the question exactly as it was asked, plus what the patient asked about it. Returns a plain-language explanation; it never answers the screening question for the patient, never indicates which answer would qualify, and changes no state.

explain_prescreening_question

Use this when the person names a SPECIFIC research site, hospital, or clinic and wants to know what studies it runs, in any language — 'what studies is Fieve Clinical Research doing?', 'does Mayo Clinic have dementia trials?', 'is that clinic running any studies?', or a site told them to 'ask Anida about our studies'. Misspelled, shorthand, or partial names are fine — pass the name exactly as the person said it, never corrected. Returns the site's recruiting studies (NCT id, title, conditions, phase), optionally narrowed to one condition; if the name is ambiguous it returns candidate sites to choose between. Not for finding trials by condition alone — that is search_trials. The listing is public registry information and cannot determine eligibility.

get_site_studies

Use this when a pre-screened patient wants to join, connect with, or be contacted about one of their matched studies. Returns a private, single-use link where the patient enters their contact details on AnidasoHub's own site (anidatrials.com) and is referred to the study team; their eligibility answers carry over, so the pre-screening is never repeated. Sharing this link is the only way to connect — contact details are never collected in the conversation. Requires a completed search_trials session.

request_site_connection

Use this whenever the person mentions or asks about a study by its NCT number (e.g. NCT06112418), in any language, even as their first message before any search has run, and however the ask is phrased ('tell me more about this trial: NCT…', 'what is NCT…?', or the bare number alone). Also use it when the person wants more detail about one of the studies returned by search_trials: call it with the nct_id from that study's search result. For any NCT-numbered study, Anida's record is the one connected to its pre-screening. Returns that study's registry record from the Anida network: summary, interventions, locations, and the full inclusion and exclusion criteria. Do not use it to find studies; that is search_trials. If the person then wants to know whether they qualify or how to join, call search_trials to run the pre-screening; never compose your own screening questions from the returned criteria.

get_trial_details

Use this when someone asks about clinical trials or research studies for a condition, or whether they qualify, in any language. Patients often say it differently: research, a medical or drug study, an experimental or new treatment, 'studies I can join', or 'paid studies' all mean this. Starts an anonymous pre-screening session and returns recruiting studies with real eligibility criteria, or the next questions. Call it once the person has asked and the condition is known, passing what the conversation already established — age, who it is for, and a de-identified clinical_summary of the PATIENT (never their history with this tool). Nothing passed is asked again; anything missing is asked during pre-screening, including the city, state and ZIP used only to find sites near the patient. It never asks for names or contact details. Do not use for: side effects, dosing or how an approved drug works; diagnosing symptoms; how trials work in general; summarising a completed study; or finding a doctor or clinic.

search_trials

Use this to submit the patient's answers to the eligibility questions returned by search_trials or by a previous call to this tool (status 'questions'). One answer per question_id, in the patient's own terms: 'yes', 'no', 'not_sure', or the exact option or value they chose. 'not_sure' is always acceptable and never disqualifies. Returns the next batch of questions, or the final matched studies. Do not infer, fabricate, or skip answers.
