This tool does not perform any new external lookup and should not be used as a substitute for the retrieval tool. Call it when the user asks to show, display, or visually present the vehicle details, or when a structured card would make multiple fields easier to scan than plain prose. Pass the full vehicle object produced by the lookup tool so the widget can present the same verified data without lossy remapping. Do not invent missing fields, and do not call this tool before you have a concrete lookup result. If the user only wants a quick textual answer, you can skip this tool and summarize the lookup directly. This tool is especially useful when tax status, MOT status, dates, emissions, or technical details are easier to understand in a grouped layout. It is also appropriate when the conversation includes a photo-derived registration lookup and the user expects a visible result card.

Use to retrieve official UK vehicle details from the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service for a single registration number. Call this tool when the user asks about a specific UK vehicle registration, licence plate, or number plate and you need authoritative vehicle information rather than a guess. This includes cases where the user typed the registration number directly, and cases where the user uploaded a photo and you have already read the UK plate text from the image using native model vision. The input should be only the vehicle registration number string; the server normalizes spaces and casing before calling DVLA. The tool returns structured vehicle information and a timestamp, but it does not render a widget. After a successful lookup, you may answer in plain text or optionally call the display tool if a visual presentation would help. Do not call this tool for non-UK plates, generic car advice, hypothetical examples, or when the user explicitly tells you not to use tools. Do not fabricate or infer vehicle details if the lookup fails. If the registration number is invalid or DVLA has no record for it, the tool will raise an error instead of returning partial data. Use this tool once per distinct registration number you need to verify.
