Use this when the user asks how their own resume aligns with a specific pasted job description. Accepts resume text or one attached digital PDF or DOCX and returns candidate-facing documented alignment with evidence and gaps, not hiring probability. Do not use for employer-side ranking or selection.

score_resume_against_job

Use this when the user pastes a job description and their own resume and asks to write, draft or tailor a cover letter, covering letter or letter of application, including asks for an honest letter, one without exaggeration, or one that uses only what the resume proves. Returns a structured, verifiable draft: the letter text, its word count, and a claimsUsed list giving the verbatim resume quote and character offsets behind every claim it makes about the candidate, so each candidate claim can be checked against the source. Claims the resume does not support are withheld rather than written. Requires both texts. Do not use for general writing help, to revise a letter the user already wrote, or when a resume and job description are not supplied.

Use this when the user asks to prepare for an interview for a specific pasted job. The job description is required and a resume is optional for personalisation. Returns candidate-facing questions and answer guidance. Do not use to score or rank candidates.
