Create a new Script version from the current collaborative document.

create_script_version

Apply one granular insert-before, insert-after, replace, append, or delete edit directly to the live collaborative document. Use this only when the user explicitly asks to apply a change directly; otherwise use propose_script_edits so the user can approve the exact change in the Boords panel. Pass expected_revision from get_script so a concurrent human edit is refused instead of overwritten.

Get one frame by storyboard hashid and frame id.

get_frame

Fetch one frame's image as an image the model can look at, for discussing composition, continuity or feedback. Call it before describing a frame, including when explaining a comment on it; the image does not include comment drawings. Fetch only the frames being discussed, one per call; large images are capped and fall back to the thumbnail. The frame id and revision are returned with the image. This reads existing images only; Boords tools cannot generate images.

List comments for a frame. Requires admin or manager team role. Comment bodies may be stored as HTML from the Boords editor; read them as text. A comment's annotation is drawing data, not an image. Call get_frame_image for the frame before describing its composition; it returns the original image, without any comment drawing. A drawing is shown to the user in the Boords panel (open_boords_panel with view: feedback and the comment_id) but is not available to you: work from the comment text and do not infer arrow direction, placement or other drawing details. If a change depends on the drawing, say so and ask the user to describe it in words or upload an image of the marked-up frame. When the comment text asks for a concrete change, prepare it in the same reply with propose_frame_edits for that frame only, recording a visual change in the action or a direction note, then open the proposal view; never change the image.

mark_notification_read

Open the Boords panel beside the conversation, or point it at a storyboard or script. Call it once when the user wants to see, select, review or approve work; the panel then refreshes itself, so do not call it again for the same document unless the user asks. With no arguments it shows a picker of the user's teams, projects, scripts and storyboards. Use view: proposal with proposal_id after proposing changes, and view: feedback with document_type: storyboard, document_id and comment_id to show the user a comment and its drawing; Explain this feedback then sends the written comment to you, while the drawing stays in the panel. Switching to a proposal or a comment is not a reopen.

open_boords_panel

Save a draft proposal of text changes to storyboard frames for the user to approve in the Boords panel. Each call saves a new draft; frame content is unchanged until approval. Give the exact new values per frame; the response shows the before and after text for each frame. Then call open_boords_panel with view: proposal. To act on frame feedback, include only the frame and the fields the feedback calls for, and record a visual change in the frame's action or a direction note; frame images are not part of a proposal. Only when the user explicitly asks to apply directly, use update_frame instead.

propose_frame_edits

Save a draft proposal of exact anchored script edits for the user to approve in the Boords panel. The script is unchanged until the user approves there. Each call saves a new draft. Copy anchor_text verbatim from get_script content_text; ambiguous or missing anchors are rejected with the occurrence count. Then call open_boords_panel with view: proposal and the returned proposal id. Only when the user explicitly asks to apply directly, use edit_script instead.

propose_script_edits

Save a draft proposal for a storyboard built from shot rows so the user can preview the breakdown in the Boords panel. Each call saves a new draft; the storyboard is created only after approval. Keep rows in shot order and map audio to sound and visuals to action. Then call open_boords_panel with view: proposal. Only when the user explicitly asks to create directly, use create_storyboard instead.

Restore an explicitly archived Script lineage.

restore_script

Restore the content an applied proposal replaced. The revert is refused when the script or frames changed afterwards, so later human edits are never overwritten. Requires confirm: true.

revert_proposal

Update a frame comment's body, completion state, or team-only visibility. Saves immediately, without a panel proposal; mark a comment complete only when the user asks.

update_comment

Update a frame's text fields, custom field data, status, or image URLs directly. For text changes the user has not explicitly asked to apply directly, use propose_frame_edits so the exact before and after text is approved in the Boords panel. Pass expected_revision from get_frame or list_frames so a concurrent change is refused instead of overwritten.

update_frame

Replace the complete frame order for a storyboard. Saves immediately, without a panel proposal; use it when the user asks for the reorder.
