cancel_cart

cancel_checkout

Create a new cart with one or more line items. Each `item.id` is a variant id (`products[].variants[].id`) — for multi-variant products, ask the shopper which variant before adding. Returns the cart ID and totals — remember the ID for follow-up update_cart / cancel_cart calls in this conversation.

create_cart

Start a checkout session. Use after the user is ready to buy. Prefer passing `cart_id` from the open cart in this conversation — the server pulls line_items/buyer/context from the cart and ignores any overlapping fields you also pass. If no cart exists, pass `line_items` directly. Status comes back `ready_for_complete` immediately. The response includes a `continue_url` — this is the payment link the user MUST open to complete the order. The storefront collects buyer details (name, email, shipping address) and payment there — DO NOT ask the user for any of those in chat. After calling this tool, your job is to surface the link to the user verbatim. Do NOT attempt to call any tool to complete the payment — payment happens on the storefront, not through this agent. Remember the returned checkout ID for follow-up update_checkout / cancel_checkout calls.

create_checkout

Read-only state check on a cart created in this conversation. PRECONDITION: a cart already exists in this conversation, returned by a prior create_cart / update_cart call. If no cart exists yet, do NOT call — there is nothing to read; start a shopping flow with search_catalog instead. Skip if you already have the latest cart object cached in context from create_cart/update_cart on this turn — there's no concurrent editor invalidating it.

get_cart

Read the current state of an existing checkout by ID. Use to remind yourself of status / line items / totals / `continue_url` before computing the next action, or to check post-payment order status. If status is `ready_for_complete`, surface the `continue_url` to the user as the payment link.

get_checkout

Fetch full details for a specific product by ID, including all variants, option values, availability per variant, and media. Call this when the user asks about a specific product you already found via search_catalog or lookup_catalog.

Never call on the first turn or with a synthesized ID — start a new shopping flow with search_catalog → create_cart instead.
