Search inputs include make, model, price, year, mileage, location, body style, drivetrain, transmission, trim, seating, color, condition, electrification, and purchase priority. Most direct criteria are matched against actual listing data; seating, certification, and history-related requests reflect available evidence, which may be confirmed, unconfirmed, or unreported rather than guaranteed. Practical needs such as a large family SUV, a teen-driver car, or a vehicle for towing are interpreted before the search runs to identify relevant candidates; this tool then searches and ranks them using actual listing data — it does not independently establish reliability, safety, running cost, towing suitability, condition, accident-free history, or certification. Resolves a usable link for viewing or purchasing a specific vehicle, given its VIN, make, model, and year. Prefers the Edmunds VIN-specific pricing link; when that's unavailable (including for Carvana-sourced vehicles, which are never on Edmunds by VIN), falls back to affiliateFallbackUrl, a live Edmunds category-search link for the same make/model that never dead-ends. Never returns the dealer's own listing URL (dealerListingUrl) as the resolved link, even for Carvana — that field is still present on structuredContent for internal/diagnostic use, just never the text response.
