PRIMARY search tool. Find recipes by keyword or meaning (AI). Omit query to list recent recipes. Filter by category/diet or by the user's favorites / cooked / to-cook lists, page with offset. Always use this before creating or when the user asks what they can cook.

Album details with its recipes (id + title). Pass album title or id; shared albums from other users can be opened by id.

cooknest_get_album

Profile of the signed-in user: name, email, language, preferences (unit system, week start day, translation language), pantry items, favorite/cooked recipe counts and whether they have CookNest PRO.

Full recipe: ingredients, steps, source, category, diet, allergens, nutrition per serving, favorite/cooked flags and the user's personal note. Pass recipe title (from find) or id. Image URLs are omitted unless include_images is true.

Items of a shopping list, sorted by grocery aisle. List name is optional (uses the user's only/default list). Pending items only by default.

cooknest_get_shopping_list

Scheduled meals for the current week (or a date range) plus any day notes, from the user's meal plan (name optional).

cooknest_get_week_meals

PRIMARY import tool. Parses a URL (web, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook) or pasted recipe text with AI and saves the result to the user's library. A URL the user already imported returns the existing recipe instead (no quota used). Uses the user's language and unit preferences. Counts against the user's weekly import quota (AI cost); can fail with an import-limit error. Prefer over manual create.

List recipe albums/collections the user collaborates on or has saved. Use before adding recipes to an album.

List all meal plans where the current user is a collaborator.

List all shopping lists where the current user is a collaborator.

Mark a scheduled meal as cooked/done (or undo with done=false) by DATE and SLOT, no entry id needed. If several meals share that slot, pass recipe (name) to pick one. Meal plan name is optional.

Mark a library recipe as cooked (or undo with cooked=false). Cooked recipes leave the app's 'To cook' page and appear on 'Cooked'; list them with cooknest_find_recipes collection='cooked' or 'to_cook'.

Remove a recipe (name or id) from an album (title or id). The recipe itself is kept.

Bookmark a recipe. Pass recipe name or id.

cooknest_save_recipe

Schedule a meal on a date and slot. Slots use the app's Spanish keys: desayuno (breakfast), media_manana (mid-morning snack), almuerzo (lunch), merienda (afternoon snack), cena (dinner). Pass a recipe name or id, or free_text for a meal without a recipe (e.g. 'Eating out'). Meal plan name is optional. Best first choice for meal planning requests.

cooknest_plan_meal

Write, replace or clear the free-text note shown on a day of the meal plan calendar (e.g. 'Guests for dinner', 'Prep lunchboxes'). Empty text clears the note. Notes are returned by cooknest_get_week_meals.

cooknest_set_day_note

Write, replace or clear the user's private note on a recipe (tweaks, what worked, substitutions). Works for owned and saved recipes; nobody else sees it. Empty text clears the note. The note is returned by cooknest_get_recipe as personal_note.

cooknest_set_recipe_note

Translate a recipe with CookNest AI (paid AI operation, takes several seconds) and persist the result: an owned recipe is updated in place; a saved recipe from another author is copied into the user's library as a new translated recipe. Pass recipe name or id.

Remove bookmark. Pass recipe name or id.

Rename an album. Collaborators only.

cooknest_update_album

Rename a meal plan (name or id).

cooknest_update_meal_plan

Move, rename, swap the recipe of, or mark done a scheduled meal by entry id (from cooknest_get_week_meals). To mark done by date and slot use cooknest_mark_meal_done.

cooknest_update_meal_entry

Add or remove staples the user always has at home (salt, olive oil, rice…). Pantry items are skipped when shopping for a recipe or the week. Matching ignores case and accents. The current pantry is in cooknest_get_user.

cooknest_update_pantry

Edit an owned recipe. Pass recipe name or id and only the fields to change (ingredients and instructions can be updated independently). Use cooknest_duplicate_recipe first if not owned.

cooknest_update_recipe

Update quantity, unit, name, category or done state of one item by id (from cooknest_get_shopping_list). To tick items off by name use cooknest_check_shopping_items.

Rename a shopping list or change category/auto-merge settings.
