Critics Room

Use this when the user wants to turn their own movie or TV reactions into a review for their Critics Room film journal. Starts a saved conversation and returns interview guidance. Gather the title, rating, concrete opinions, and spoiler preference, then show a draft for approval. Do not use for general movie recommendations, plot summaries, streaming availability, or writing reviews without the user's opinions.

start_movie_review

Delete one of your saved reviews by ID. This permanently removes the review and cannot be undone. Before calling, name the exact review (by title) that will be permanently deleted so the user knows what they are approving.

Sign out of Critics Room for this connector session. This revokes the current access token and any matching refresh token so the user must reconnect before future account access.

disconnect_critics_room

Verify recent save state. Call this whenever the user asks 'did you save it?', 'did that go through?', or expresses doubt — your memory is not authoritative. Also call this before retrying a save or before telling the user to reconnect. Returns reviews saved within the last `withinSeconds` seconds (default 600 = 10 minutes) with relative ages and a user-facing assistantResponseMarkdown that says either 'yes, here is the link' or 'no save in window — call generate_review now'.

get_recent_reviews

Use this when the user wants to read, revisit, or prepare to revise a specific saved Critics Room movie or TV review. Returns their full review, rating, summary, and tags. Use a reviewId from the user or a list tool; do not guess an ID. This retrieves the user's review, not other critics' reviews or general film facts.

get_review

Use this when the user asks to see their Critics Room film journal, saved movie and TV reviews, or recently reviewed titles. Lists the user's saved reviews sorted by most recent first. ONLY use this when the user asks for recent, latest, newest, or an unqualified list of reviews. DO NOT use this for top rated, best, highest rated, or favorites — call list_top_rated_reviews for those. DO NOT use this for alphabetical or A-Z requests — call list_reviews_alphabetical for those.

list_reviews

Use this when the user approves saving or publishing a completed movie or TV review to their Critics Room film journal. Do not use merely to draft a review or discuss a film. MUST call this when the user says 'post it', 'save it', 'publish it', 'add it to Critics Room', etc. Before the user approves, you must already have shown them a human-readable preview of exactly what this sends: movie/show (with season/episode if any), rating, headline, summary, the full review text, tags, and whether it will be public or private. Do NOT respond with 'I'm ready to save it', 'I prepared the review', or 'please reconnect' without first invoking this tool. If conversationId is unavailable, omit it. Return the saved review link from the tool response. Safe to retry: dedups by content fingerprint.

post_review

Resume an incomplete movie review conversation. Returns the conversation history so you can continue interviewing.

Use this when the user asks to browse their Critics Room movie and TV reviews or film diary alphabetically by title (A-Z). ALWAYS use this — not list_reviews — when the user asks for reviews alphabetically, A-Z, by title, or in alphabetical order.
