When a trip change invalidates coverage dates, pass the previous extensions unchanged, including their dates and travelerIndexes. Explain the conflict and ask for corrected coverage dates or explicit removal. Do not omit the coverage or reset it to all travelers. The user can select travelers and coverage dates, or explicitly continue with base cover. Missing details return only the first missing destination, date or age widget. After submission, use open_travel_comparison.

Show the results widget using the complete latest trip and explicit coverage choice. Pass the full trip snapshot. After a date change, retain existing extensions with their previous dates and travelerIndexes, even when those dates are invalid. Invalid coverage dates return the correction widget without a price. Ask the user to correct the dates or explicitly remove the coverage. Unknown extensions route to the coverages widget; missing basics route to only the first missing field widget. Send extensions: [] only when the user explicitly chose no optional coverage. Results use stored Fortis tariffs. Editing returns control to chat, which opens a new focused widget.

Validate one completed destination, date, traveler-age or coverage widget and return the full trip snapshot plus nextStep. This tool does not open UI, persist a trip or advance the conversation.
