about_frightmaps

Search the live FrightMaps directory for real, approved haunted houses and Halloween yard displays near a location, sorted by community likes. USE WHEN the user wants to find, visit, or compare haunts in an area ("haunted houses near Naperville", "yard displays in 60540", "best haunts in Ohio"). DO NOT use when the user wants to DESIGN or plan their own haunt (that is the FrightLabs planner app), wants costume ideas, or asks general Halloween trivia. location accepts "City, ST", "City State", a state name, or a 5-digit ZIP; if the user gave none, ask before calling. Every result carries the real frightmaps.com listing link (pageUrl) — always share it.

find_haunts

Find upcoming, active TICKETED haunt events near a location, with real ticket-purchase links on frightmaps.com. USE WHEN the user wants to buy tickets, asks what haunt events are running, or wants paid attractions with dates/prices. DO NOT use for free yard displays (find_haunts), for planning the user's own event (FrightLabs app), or for general Halloween questions. location accepts "City, ST", a state name, or a 5-digit ZIP; ask the user for one if missing. Always share each event's ticketUrl — it is the real checkout page.

find_ticketed_events

Fetch the full public FrightMaps listing for ONE haunt by its id (the `id` field on results from find_haunts, trending_haunts, or find_ticketed_events). Returns the story/description, city-level location, hours, up to 3 photos, likes, fundraiser info, and the real listing + ticket links. USE WHEN the user asks for more about a specific haunt already surfaced by another tool. DO NOT guess ids, and do not use it to design the user's own haunt (FrightLabs app), for costumes, or for general Halloween facts. Locations are city-level only, exactly like the public site. Postcode and phone are returned for ticketed attractions only — a yard display is a private home, so neither is ever exposed for one; do not ask the user for them or infer them.

get_haunt_details

List the most-liked approved haunts on FrightMaps — nationwide by default, or within one state when `state` is given. USE WHEN the user asks for the best, top, most popular, or trending haunts without naming a specific city, or wants inspiration for a haunt road trip. DO NOT use for designing the user's own haunt (FrightLabs app), costumes, or general Halloween facts; for a specific city or ZIP use find_haunts instead. Every result carries the real frightmaps.com listing link (pageUrl).
