Jack

Start here. Returns the candidate's setup, visibility, profile and brief completeness, LinkedIn import status, radar availability, a next_step, and the guide for working as Jack. Call once at the start of a conversation and after big changes.

get_account_status

Collect the results of a running public job search. Waits up to about 40 seconds; call again if it is still `running`. Does not start a new search.

get_search_status

Read the candidate's saved Jack profile (visible to hiring managers): headline, summary, experience and education entries with their `key`s, skills, location, links, plus the LinkedIn import status and what is still missing. Shows nothing on screen; use show_jack for that.

get_profile

Read the candidate's private search brief (never shown to hiring managers): roles, seniority, locations, work modes, right to work, pay floor/target/currency, employment types, priorities, companies/industries/technologies to target or avoid, and what is still missing. Shows nothing on screen; use show_jack for that.

get_search_brief

Read the Jill roles on the candidate's radar (visible candidates only). Reports the real matching status: `ok` with roles, `pending` while Jack is still checking (waits up to 15 seconds), `no_matching_roles` only when the check finished empty, or `visibility_required` when hidden. Shows nothing on screen; use show_jack for that.

get_radar_roles

Ask a radar role's hiring manager for an intro to the candidate. One role per call, and only with the candidate's explicit yes for that role. The first call sends nothing: it returns the role, what will happen, and a confirmation_token. Show them that and ask. Only after they agree, call again with the token to send the request. It puts their profile in front of a real person, works once per role and cannot be undone. Never request intros the candidate did not ask for, and never several at once.

request_intro

Search public job postings for the candidate, using their saved brief plus this query. Searches on a saved brief match far better: if the brief is empty, first ask for and save their target roles and locations with update_search_brief, then search. Only if they just want a quick look, a specific query (roles, place) runs once with no brief, saving nothing. Takes up to a few minutes: returns results, or status `running` with a `search_id` to pass to get_search_status. Each result has the employer's posting (`posting_url`) and its Jack page (`jack_url`); results are also saved to their Jack dashboard and shown in the side panel. One search at a time.

search_jobs

Make the candidate visible or hidden on the Jack network. Only call when the candidate has asked for it or explicitly confirmed. Changes nothing else.

set_account_status

Open Jack's panel beside the chat, on the profile, search brief or radar tab. The candidate can switch tabs there, and the panel follows profile and brief edits as you save them, so call this once per conversation: when they ask to see their profile, brief or radar, or when setup starts. Don't call it again to show a change or another document. Returns no document data; read with get_profile, get_search_brief or get_radar_roles.

show_jack

Save changes to the candidate's profile. Every save passes Jack's protected-characteristic check; a `sanitization_failed` result means nothing in the failed edit was saved and the feedback says what to rewrite. Returns the saved profile. Write only facts the candidate gave or the saved profile already holds: rewording may tighten and reorder, never add qualities, scope, outcomes or dates. Never put private search-brief details (pay, exclusions) here unless the candidate explicitly agreed.
