Krónan

Get products from a specific category by its slug. Returns product data as text — does NOT display a widget. Use list_categories first to discover available slugs. After getting results, decide whether a text answer suffices or whether to call display_products with a curated selection of SKUs.

get_category_products

Optionally display a curated selection of products in a visual widget. Include a recommended quantity when relevant; quantity defaults to 1 when omitted. Call this when showing products visually adds value (e.g. the user asked to "show", "recommend", "suggest", or build a shopping list). Skip it for quick factual questions that a text answer covers better (e.g. "what is the cheapest yogurt" — just state the answer). Typically called after search_products once you've picked the products worth highlighting.

display_products

Display a curated selection of recipes in a swipeable visual carousel. The user can tap any card to open that recipe in full, so this is the best way to present more than one recipe. Call it after search_recipes once you have picked the recipes worth showing — pass their slugs. Skip it when the user asked a narrow factual question that a sentence answers better, or when there is only one obvious recipe (call fetch_recipe directly for that).

display_recipes

Get detailed information about a product by its SKU.

fetch_product

Get a full recipe by its slug — ingredients grouped by section, numbered cooking steps, and the Krónan products needed to cook it. Displays a visual recipe widget. Use search_recipes first to find the slug. Products come in three separate lists: `products` are the items the recipe calls for, `pantryProducts` are staples the user most likely already has at home, and `recommendedProducts` are optional extras. Only `products` feed the shopping links, so do not tell the user to buy the pantry or recommended items unless they ask.

fetch_recipe

Get the full category tree (top-level categories with their subcategories). Use this to discover what product categories are available before browsing with get_category_products.

list_categories

Search for products. Takes 1 to 10 queries in a single call — pass a single-element array for a simple search, or multiple for a themed collection (e.g. grill party, baking night). Returns product data (sku, name, price) as text — does NOT display a widget. Use Icelandic product names (e.g. "mjólk", "brauð"). Use sortBy when the user asks for cheapest/most expensive/most popular. If a query returns zero products and the user's intent is still clear, rephrase the query into a simpler Icelandic product search term and call search_products again before giving up. Retry at most once per failed query. After getting results, decide based on the user's intent whether to answer in text or call display_products. Display products visually when it clearly makes sense or adds value, such as for browsing, comparison, themed collections, or product discovery. If it is unclear whether a visual display would help, ask the user before calling display_products.

search_products

Search Krónan's recipe collection. Returns recipe data (slug, name, cooking time, servings, tags) as text — does NOT display a widget. Use Icelandic search terms (e.g. "kjúklingur", "fiskur", "pasta"). Returns at most 24 recipes per call; totalCount reports how many matched in total, so narrow down with a more specific term or the tag filters instead of trying to page through everything. The response also includes availableTags with numeric ids — pass those ids back in tags/ingredientTags/cuisineTags/occasionTags to narrow a follow-up search. After picking recipes: call display_recipes with several slugs to show a swipeable carousel the user can tap through (best for browsing or when more than one recipe fits), or fetch_recipe with a single slug to go straight to the full recipe with ingredients, steps and the products needed to cook it.
