Kraken

Prepare links to Kraken's external instant buy or sell flow. Use this when the user wants to continue on Kraken, or when in-chat order tools are unavailable. When those tools are available, use those tools for in-chat execution. Batch the requested trades into one call; each has its side and any amount the user named, without conversion. The links prefill only asset, side and amount, not limit prices or stop conditions; do not present them as satisfying unsupported order conditions. If no amount was given, omit it rather than asking merely to build a link. Places nothing: the user reviews and confirms on Kraken. No account needed.

get_trade_links

Compare two to four crypto assets over one window of any number of days, up to their whole Kraken history, on one chart. This is the tool for 'compare ETH vs BTC', 'BTC or SOL this week?', 'compare the development of eth, sol and btc over one month', 'ETH vs BTC over five years'. Call it once with every asset named, in the order named; never call get_asset_price once per asset. Each asset gets the price card's figures: its move in dollars and percent, and its low and high over the window. Prices and the chart are Kraken's own. No account needed.

compare_assets

The price card for one crypto asset with its latest headlines under it: the move in dollars and percent over a window of any number of days, the low and high, a chart, then the news. This is the tool for any question about how an asset is moving or why: 'why is SOL down', 'why is bitcoin up today', 'what's up with ETH', 'is XRP up', 'how is BTC doing this week', 'any news on doge'. Use get_asset_price only when the user asks for the price or chart alone. Prices and the chart are Kraken's own. No account needed.

get_asset_news

Price of one crypto asset over a window of any number of days, up to its whole Kraken history, with the move in dollars and percent, the low and high over that window, and a chart. Use it only when the user asks for the price or the chart itself: 'what's the price of bitcoin', 'SOL price', 'show me the ETH chart this week', 'BTC over the past year'. For why an asset is up or down, how it is doing or what is happening with it, call get_asset_news, which shows this card with headlines. One asset per call; to compare two or more, call compare_assets once. Prices and the chart are Kraken's own. No account needed.

get_asset_price

Current portfolio overview: total value in US dollars, holdings and allocation, amounts available to trade, and today's market-value change since 00:00 UTC. Use for general portfolio status, value, holdings, or composition. These all use the same complete overview. For an explicitly requested performance window, ranked movers, or gains/losses, use get_top_earners. Needs a connected account.

get_portfolio

Portfolio performance for an explicitly requested time window or ranked holdings that gained or lost value. Pass period='one_week' or period='one_month'; it covers today by default. Direction is required: direction='gainers' for what went up ('what made me money', 'what am I up on') and direction='losers' for what went down ('where did I lose money today', 'what did I lose money on', 'what am I down on', 'what hurt my portfolio'). Use direction='all' only for performance over a requested window covering both sides, such as 'how did my portfolio do this week'. Do not use 'all' for a question about only gains or only losses. For general portfolio status, value or allocation use get_portfolio. The figure is the change in market value of what the account holds now, so report it as performance, not as earnings or profit: it excludes deposits, withdrawals and Earn rewards, it is not realised or taxable P/L, and a coin bought part-way through the window is measured across the whole of it. Needs a connected account.

get_top_earners

List top crypto assets with prices and 24h changes. Called with no category it returns gainers, losers and trending together; with a category it returns one ranked list — 'top' for the largest by market cap ('top 5 coins', 'biggest cryptocurrencies'), 'gainers' or 'losers' for 'what are the top movers today', 'trending' for 'what's trending'. No account needed.
