Use this tool when the user asked to retrieve the agreements themselves, not when the subject is companies and offtake/partnership is only a filter — those stay on find_companies. For a specific sector, market, or technology, call find_tags first and pass matching IDs in tagIDs on the same find_commercial_agreements call; do not start by enumerating companies. Use participantCompanyIDs only for named parties or party-headquarters geography resolved via find_companies. searchableLocationIDs is agreement geography, not company HQ. find_commercial_agreements

Use the MCP filter lookup tools to resolve accepted IDs. Date-time values use ISO-8601 local date-time syntax without an offset, and funding amounts are platform monetary units in the authenticated user's currency. Primary tool for fund vehicles. Use this for fund target size, vintage, launch date, thesis, and funds investing in a market. Do not use find_investors, lookup_investor_filter_values, or investor foundedYearFrom — those search firms, not vehicles. Example: funds with a target size above $500 million → targetSizeFrom=500000000, sortField=TARGET_SIZE, sortDirection=DESC. Compact results include targetSizeEUR, targetSizeUSD, vintageYear, and startDate. Do not use find_investors or find_deals. Apply type, thesis, instrument, manager location, manager, limited-partner, co-investor, stage, date, size, and portfolio-tag criteria. Omit name unless the user named a specific fund vehicle — never copy the user question into name. Call get_fund for the full profile and sources, get_fund_investments for portfolio companies, and get_fund_limited_partners for disclosed LPs. Page numbers are zero-based, the default page is 0, the default page size is 15 with a maximum of 50, the default sort is START_DATE, and the default direction is DESC. Use find_tags only for a named sector, market, or technology beyond thesis, then pass matching IDs in tagIDs (1–3 most specific labels, tagsConceptsMode=OR for siblings). Climate or “climate-tech” funds use lookup_fund_filter_values THESIS (Climate) in thesisIDs, not tagIDs. Size, geography, vintage, and thesis-only queries do not need tags. For “growth-stage funds”, growth equity, or PE growth, resolve FUND_TYPE “Private Equity Growth” with lookup_fund_filter_values into typeIDs. Do not use EQUITY_STAGE for the vehicle strategy. find_funds

Call this when the user asks to search, list, or filter infrastructure projects by market, technology, geography, recency, or other criteria — for example “latest project in market X”. Filtered market-wide search is not available while the infrastructure dataset is being redeveloped. Always returns status UNAVAILABLE and a message to relay to the user. Do not invent a project list or substitute an unconstrained company search. For a named project, use find_infrastructure_project then get_infrastructure_project. For projects linked to a company or investor, resolve that entity first and use get_company_infrastructure_projects or get_investor_infrastructure_projects.

find_infrastructure_projects

find_investors

Primary tool for limited partners as organisations. Use this to search LPs by geography, organisation type, subscribed funds, climate-fund exposure, fund types, co-investors, fund managers, latest commitment date, or subscribed-fund size. Examples: European pension funds investing in climate-focused private markets; sovereign wealth funds backing energy-transition funds; corporations that have invested in climate-tech funds; LPs that committed to infrastructure or growth-equity funds since 2024. Do not use find_funds or find_investors for LP search. Call get_limited_partner for the profile and get_limited_partner_funds for commitments. Page numbers are zero-based, the default page is 0, the default page size is 15 with a maximum of 50, the default sort is FUNDS_SUBSCRIBED_COUNT, and the default direction is DESC. Use lookup_limited_partner_filter_values for INVESTOR_TYPE, SEARCHABLE_LOCATION, REGION, FUND, FUND_TYPE, THESIS, and INVESTOR IDs. find_limited_partners

Returns bounded authenticated lookup values for commercial-agreement filter ID sets. Dimensions are AGREEMENT_TYPE, SEARCHABLE_LOCATION, COMPANY, INVESTOR, or TAG. AGREEMENT_TYPE resolves primaryTypes/secondaryTypes, SEARCHABLE_LOCATION resolves searchableLocationIDs (agreement geography, not company HQ), COMPANY and INVESTOR resolve party-role ID sets. Prefer find_tags for taxonomy; use TAG here only to resolve an already-known label to an ID for tagIDs. The optional label query is case-insensitive; limit defaults to 25 and maxes at 100.

lookup_commercial_agreement_filter_values

lookup_tag_filter_values

Returns the body of one or more sections of a visible market report, including HTML, extracted figures and images, chart options, and source lists. Use get_report or find_reports first to inspect the section catalog and insight types, then pass reportID with an optional sectionKind or title. Section kinds are DRIVERS_AND_BARRIERS, SOLUTIONS_AND_TECHNOLOGY, MARKET_DATA_AND_TECHNO_ECONOMICS, REGULATION, SOURCES, or OTHER. Omit both filters to retrieve every section. Use the figures when answering questions about frameworks, diagrams, comparison tables, or techno-economic charts.

get_report_section

Primary tool when the user asks which report to read on a topic. Do not call find_tags first. Pass the topic as searchText (for example Hydrogen). Returns the best matching visible platform market-research report, including the platform page url, key takeaways and the section catalog. Cite the returned url (/market-research/...), not public website /resources/ articles. Use find_report or find_reports to resolve an identifier, then pass the returned reportID to get_report or get_report_section. Figures and full section text are retrieved with get_report_section.

find_report

Returns the best matching commercial agreement for title or description search text, including description, news source URLs, and parties with related roles. Use find_commercial_agreement or find_commercial_agreements to resolve an identifier, then pass the returned ID to get_commercial_agreement when a single agreement should be reviewed in detail.

find_commercial_agreement

Returns the best matching visible company for company name, domain, or pitch-line search text, including description and taxonomy tags. Use find_company or find_companies to resolve a visible company identifier, then pass the returned companyID to get_company, get_company_deals, get_company_contacts, get_company_commercial_agreements, get_company_infrastructure_projects, get_company_trl, or get_company_employee_data.

find_company

Returns the best matching visible fund for name or website search text, including managers, disclosed limited partners, news URLs, and other supporting sources. Use find_fund or find_funds to resolve a visible fund identifier, then pass the returned fundID to get_fund, get_fund_investments, or get_fund_limited_partners.

find_fund

Returns the best matching visible limited partner for LP name search text, including type, location, and fund-manager relationships. Use find_limited_partner or find_limited_partners to resolve an identifier, then pass the returned investorID to get_limited_partner or get_limited_partner_funds. Do not use find_investor or find_fund for LP organisations.

find_limited_partner

Returns the best matching infrastructure project for project-name search text, including status, location, technology, capacity, timeline, participants with roles, description, and supporting source URLs. Use this for a named project such as “Create an overview of Project X”. Then pass the returned projectID to get_infrastructure_project or get_infrastructure_project_commercial_agreements. find_infrastructure_project

Do not use this for fund vehicles, fund target size, or limited partners — use find_fund / find_funds or find_limited_partner / find_limited_partners. Returns the best matching visible investor for investor name or domain search text. find_investor

Searches the NZI taxonomy of visible advanced-filter tags. Results are taxonomy labels, not market reports: never present tag names as report titles. Do not call this when the user asked which report to read — use find_report or find_reports with the topic as searchText or name. Use this when the user asks which taxonomy tags to use, or to resolve tag IDs before another search tool. Do not use this as the only tool when the user asked for reports, companies, deals, funds, or similar entities — continue with find_reports, find_companies, or the matching find_* tool. Results include tag name, tag type, and description; match against all three and keep only the 1–3 most specific tag IDs. Prefer an exact or shortest close label; do not pass a full page of loosely related tags. The optional name query is a case-insensitive substring of the tag name or description. Optional tagTypeID narrows by type after lookup_tag_filter_values (TAG_TYPE). Use the returned tag IDs in companyInclude.tagIDs, find_funds.tagIDs, or the other tag filters of find_companies, find_deals, find_investors, find_commercial_agreements, find_reports, find_funds, or find_limited_partners.
