NextClip

Save caption style, hook text preset, and video layout settings for a clip before exporting. Must be called before export_clip if the clip has no saved settings. When the user wants default settings, pass useDefaults: true — the correct style and hook for the clip's layout are applied automatically. apply_clip_settings

Cancel a pending scheduled post before it publishes. Only works on 'pending' posts — already published posts cannot be undone. Get the post ID from list_scheduled_posts.

cancel_post

Render a clip into a final MP4 with captions and hook text. Always pass the clip UUID from get_clips structuredContent.clips[].id. If you only have the display number (1, 2, 3…), also pass projectId and this tool resolves the correct UUID automatically. Self-sufficient: if the clip has no saved settings, layout-matched defaults are applied automatically. No need to call apply_clip_settings first unless the user explicitly wants a different style. Free plan → blocked. Already exported → returns existing URL immediately. Rendering is async (1-3 min). Call again when user asks 'is it ready?'.

export_clip

Start AI clip generation from a YouTube video. IMPORTANT: Before calling this tool you must (1) call get_user_plan to check credits, (2) ask the user for all settings (URL, process range, clip duration, aspect ratio, frame layout, moment prompt), (3) show a settings summary and get confirmation. This tool checks credits against video duration and blocks if insufficient. 1 credit = 1 minute of video. Returns projectId — call get_clips to poll for results.

generate_clips

Retrieve AI-generated clips for a project. If still processing, returns progress. When done, the tool returns a pre-formatted markdown table — display it exactly as returned. Do NOT re-summarise or re-format the clip list — the table is already built. After showing the table ask the user what they want to do next.

get_clips

List all social media accounts the user has connected in NextClip (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, Facebook). Call this before schedule_clip so the user can pick which account(s) to publish to. Returns account IDs needed for schedule_clip.

get_connected_accounts

Returns the user's current subscription plan, available credits, and which features are available to them. Call this at the start of each session and before generate_clips, export_clip, or schedule_clip. 1 credit = 1 minute of video processed.

get_user_plan

Show all scheduled, published, and failed social posts for the user. Use to check the publishing queue, confirm posts went live, or find post IDs to edit or cancel.

list_scheduled_posts

Fetch all the user's video projects with status, clip count, and creation date. Returns data formatted as a markdown table. After showing the table, ask which project the user wants to view clips for.

list_projects

Publish a clip immediately or schedule it for a specific time on social platforms. The clip must be exported first — call export_clip if exportedVideoUrl is missing. Requires a clipId (from get_clips) and socialAccountIds (from get_connected_accounts). Set scheduledFor to 'now' to publish immediately, or an ISO-8601 datetime to schedule. Optionally override the default title and description with custom values before publishing.
