Prezi Craft

Use this when the user has named a specific designer, theme, or content mode, or has asked to skip setup and start generating immediately. For a fresh topic-only request, use prepare_presentation instead and then end your turn — its card calls this tool itself when the user presses Start. Never call this tool after prepare_presentation returns, and never treat its catalogue or default IDs as the user's choices: doing so starts a second deck the user never chose. It creates a new Prezi Craft presentation and returns its edit URL IMMEDIATELY, plus a share URL only when the deck is shareable — a private deck has none, so offer just the edit link. The deck opens right away but has no slides yet: content is generated in the background and appears after about a minute, so tell the user to refresh once generation completes rather than presenting the deck as finished. (To rebuild a deck from an existing file the user shared, use rebuild_from_content instead.) If the account is out of credits nothing is created: the result carries status blocked_insufficient_credits and a `notice` to relay, and there is no link to offer.

create_presentation

Use this when the user wants to make a finished presentation interactive or engage their audience — a quiz, word cloud, podcast version, PDF handout, or other audience apps — e.g. "add a quiz to my deck" or "how can I make this more engaging?" Returns the Prezi Room apps recommended for this specific deck; each suggestion's url opens the Room with that app already launched. Requires generated slides — call only after the deck is past generating (confirm via get_presentation_status).

get_room_app_suggestions

Get a presentation's slide markup for the inline preview to render. Called programmatically by the preview UI once the deck has viewable slides — not a response to a direct user request. Do not use to list or open the user's presentations (use list_presentations).

get_presentation_slides

Check the generation status of a Prezi presentation that is currently being created. Call this programmatically — poll every ~3 seconds after create_presentation — to know when the deck is viewable. A hosted animated preview is not produced on this path; `slides_ready` is the complete, terminal outcome. Not a response to a direct user request; do not use to list or open the user's presentations (use list_presentations).

get_presentation_status

Use ONLY when the user explicitly asks for a page-faithful visual copy of a PDF: each page becomes one image slide — pages are images, not editable text, and no navigable overview is generated. For most PDF requests ("turn this PDF into a presentation"), use rebuild_from_content instead: read the PDF's text and outline and pass it as content to generate an editable, navigable Prezi. Provide the file as fileUrl or fileBase64. Returns an edit URL immediately; slides appear in the background after ~30–40 seconds.

import_pdf

Use this when the user shared a PowerPoint (.pptx) file and wants it in Prezi — e.g. "convert my PowerPoint to Prezi" or "import this .pptx." Performs a true high-fidelity import of the original slides into a new Prezi presentation. Provide the file as uploadToken (from request_pptx_upload — preferred for a chat attachment), fileUrl, or fileBase64. Returns an edit URL immediately; slides are imported in the background and appear at the URL after ~60–90 seconds. If the file's bytes or URL can't be provided, use rebuild_from_content instead. Do not use for PDFs or plain topics.

import_pptx

Use this when the user asks to see, list, find, or reopen their recent Prezi presentations — e.g. "show my recent decks" or "open the presentation I was working on yesterday." Returns up to 9 of the user's most recently edited presentations, each with an edit URL to open it in the editor. Read-only; do not use to create or modify presentations.

list_presentations

Use this when the user wants to change an existing Prezi presentation — add, edit, rewrite, reorder, or delete slides, change the theme or design, shorten or expand the content — e.g. "add a slide about pricing" or "make the deck more formal." Requires the presentationId and a natural-language instruction. The edit runs in the background; returns the edit URL immediately. Do not use to create a new presentation (create_presentation) or to import a file (import_pptx / rebuild_from_content).

modify_presentation

Use this first for a fresh request to make a presentation about a topic. It starts no generation: it renders a setup card in the chat where the user picks a designer, theme, and content mode and presses Start, and the card then calls create_presentation itself. The catalogue and default IDs it returns are data for that card to draw — not the user's choices, and not authorization for you to submit them. This is a terminal step for you: once it returns, tell the user to choose in the card and end your turn. Do not call create_presentation after this tool — the card already submits the user's choice, so your own call would create a deck the user never chose.

prepare_presentation

Use this when the user shared a PowerPoint or PDF and wants it turned into an editable Prezi presentation — read the file's text and outline yourself and pass it as content. This is the default path for PDFs (it produces an editable, navigable Prezi rather than page images), and the fallback path for PowerPoints when the file's bytes or URL can't be handed to import_pptx. Returns an edit URL plus a rebuild notice and an editor call-to-action for true branding/styling import. Do not use for a plain topic with no source file — use create_presentation.
