provider_impound_get

PREFERRED when checking if a vehicle has an impound. Use this when you have a vehicle ID and need to know whether that vehicle is or was impounded. Returns the impound (ACTIVE, RELEASED, or other status) or "not found". Do not use provider_impound_list for vehicle-specific lookups—use this tool instead.

provider_impound_get_by_vehicle_id

List impounds with filters. NEVER do a general search (without vehicleId) to check if a vehicle has an impound—the paginated list will miss it. For "is this vehicle impounded?" always use provider_impound_get_by_vehicle_id with the vehicle id. Only use this tool when: (1) you pass vehicleId to filter, or (2) for date-range reports/status counts. For vehicle-specific lookups, use provider_impound_get_by_vehicle_id.
