RoadOps

Create a rental car reservation for the exact RoadOps teamId. Use pickupDateLocal, pickupTimeLocal, dropoffDateLocal, and dropoffTimeLocal for local wall-clock values interpreted using each location's required IANA timezone. UTC timestamps are derived by RoadOps and are not accepted as mutation input.

Create a schedule item on an exact RoadOps team day. Requires exact teamId and Schedule/Travel management access. Prefer create_drive_schedule_item for drive items and create_flight_schedule_item for flight items. Prepare a private day attachment upload (maximum 10 MiB). Requires Files management and a visible day. PUT the bytes to the returned URL within 15 minutes using every returned header including signed If-None-Match: *, then call complete_day_file_upload. Existing file IDs cannot be reused. Requires an exact teamId.

Search Google Places for RoadOps location candidates. Use this before creating or updating drive schedule items when you do not already have a Google placeId. Results are public place metadata; select one returned placeId and pass it into the drive origin or destination.

Change an exact visible Task for a RoadOps teamId to todo, doing, waiting, done, or a non-archived custom status UUID returned by list_task_statuses.

Update a day title, location, coordinates, color, visibility, or IANA timezone. Requires Days management; an actual timezone change also requires Schedule/Travel management and adjusts matching general schedule items to preserve local dates and clock times. Travel/differently zoned items stay unchanged. Actual timezone changes require a caller-generated operationId UUID and support at most 50 schedule items. Use get_day_update_status after a timeout; repeating the original operationId only reads status and never resumes writes. This workflow is non-atomic: reconcile uncertain/failed/unstarted adjustments without blindly retrying the whole edit. Date moves are unsupported. Requires an exact teamId.

Update an existing drive schedule item on an exact RoadOps team day. Requires exact teamId and Schedule/Travel management access. Use search_locations first when changing origin, stops, or destination without known placeId values; address/name inputs are auto-resolved only when Google returns exactly one candidate. The drive.stops array replaces the complete ordered stop list, and an empty array clears it. For time changes, provide all six time fields: startUtc/endUtc as UTC RFC3339 instants with trailing Z, startLocal/endLocal as local wall-clock datetimes, and startTimezone/endTimezone as IANA timezone names. The optional drive object edits drive-specific fields only.
