Super Carl

Admin-only, separately gated and audited MCP usage leaderboard for pricing/support work. Returns an exact external-user count and, in top_users mode, at most 25 users ranked by completed top-level searches or immutable credits in a <=93-day window. email_domain scopes to one customer domain (enterprise account reviews: up to 100 rows, zero-usage users included). Exact >/>= thresholds are supported; name/email require explicit opt-in and justification.

admin_usage_leaderboard

Manage session/project continuity for durable/named external-agent work when the user explicitly asks. This is not people, company, job, or post search. Never call start in unattended, scheduled, headless, or background runs: call the requested domain tool without agent_session_id so it creates an implicit session, then carry the returned session/project ids.

agent_session

Load or enrich a batch of already-known LinkedIn identities by profile URL or username. This is direct profile lookup, not candidate discovery, criteria search, identity certification, or replacement sourcing. Use people_search when the people are not already identified. For large batches, use response_verbosity:"compact" or fields for an exact projection; uncached lookups can consume credits.

people_lookup_batch

Resolve many named companies by name, domain, website, or LinkedIn company URL. Use for a supplied company list that needs identity binding before a roster/candidate step. Returns per-company resolution plus one executable aggregate people_search continuation; when people rows are the goal, execute that returned call instead of calling this resolver again. Choose current-employee or any-experience scope and inspect unresolved/ambiguous rows.

company_search_batch

Search company rows or resolve a company identity by name, domain, LinkedIn URL, industry, funding, stage, size, growth, hiring, technology, location, or other firmographics. Use when the requested answer rows are companies, a company identity is ambiguous, the user explicitly requests a company-list step, or an exhaustive niche firm universe must be enumerated. Use query for a named company/domain and filters.company_search.include.filters for a company cohort. resolve_only:true binds identity; preview:true plans/counts; preview:false returns company rows. If the requested rows are people or candidates, normally use people_search directly. When company resolution/enumeration is required first, inspect company_resolution.status and copy its returned executable next call exactly.

company_search

Create or change a recurring Scan My Network watch for new people, company, job, post, engagement, role-change, hiring, or warm-intro signals. State-changing modes: create, update, run_now, pause, resume, snooze_hit, dismiss_hit, promote_hit. Use watch_signals_read for role packs, watch status, hits, evidence, and delivery status. Do not claim a scan completed until status or hits says so.

Destructively and permanently delete only the authenticated owner’s LinkedIn conversation-research/import data. It immediately disables continuous conversation tracking, preserves LinkedIn connections and Carl outreach-reply tracking, and requires user_confirmed=true for this exact request.

linkedin_conversation_research_delete_data

Read-only employer frontier for an unresolved required current employer class plus hard current role/person location. Returns canonical employers with bounded indexed company evidence, never qualified people. Assess indexed facts first; use web research only for unresolved required facts. Preserve hard filters and full employer meaning; do not invent narrower taxonomy. Follow next_action/next_call toward requested_count within the shared budget. Respect exclusive rosters and no-retry.

discover_employers

Canonical Super Carl help for UI, features, Groups, integrations, sync, relationship paths and warm intros. Call topic="index" for topic ids, then a topic for docs and applicable live user state. Call before answering product or navigation questions; never invent screen names or availability. Retry index after a wrong guess. topic="try_ask_examples" gives editable people-search and network-watch requests.

get_product_help

Returns job-posting/open-role rows; source and status evidence determine whether a role is currently active. Typed calls use filters. Execution controls are top-level siblings of filters and are invalid inside it. Put row criteria in filters.where and employers in filters.companies[] (related entities: filters.<related plural>[]) with relation, operator, and where or cohort_ref. relation_evidence_coverage is final; evidenced_rows:0 needs no follow-up. For a background/résumé-fit or sector-focus request, express sector/domain as posting evidence (evidence_terms or required evidence_groups with match_mode:"posting_text") and ranking.intent; a filters.companies clause is always a hard employer cohort, so use it only for employers the user named or selected. Present returned membership without local reranking. Pages are final (no offset); raise limit or adjust filters for other rows, and disclose has_more as incomplete coverage. Preserve hard criteria after a faithful zero. Prefer query; filters override matching fields. Inspect request.applied_request.

jobs_search

Search people by title, experience, current/former employer, skills, location, investing signal, or warm-intro path. Use for candidate and investor discovery: VCs, angel investors, fund partners, seed checks, and investment thesis; also recruiting, leaders, founders, operators, alumni, referrals, and named contacts. The requested answer rows are people. Other typed tools return companies, jobs, or posts; people_lookup_batch only enriches known LinkedIn identities. For a new request, copy the complete brief verbatim into query with preview:true. The response includes a count, filters, query_plan_handle, and executable next call. Run it with preview:false for people rows, preserving filters or handle across paging/refinement. Copy every returned arg—especially filters.companies—and never replace a bound continuation with preview alone. Add role titles in query or filters.job_titles.include; filters.titles is invalid. For former-role-at-employer asks, bind title + employer in one non-current experience_clauses row; current-only-exclude that employer when "now elsewhere." Use a LinkedIn URL/username with preview:false for one known profile. For a named Instagram/X contact without a handle, preserve the requested network direction, resolve here before send_communication, and pass the returned target_user_id. After review rows, pass navigator_result_ref to query_search_result for compact filtering, sorting, deduplication, or projection. Follow returned next calls and pagination.

people_search

Search post and activity rows: authored posts, reposts, comments, likes/reactions, mentions, hashtags, topics, engagement, and recency. Use only when the requested evidence or answer rows are posts/activity, or when matching post behavior is explicit eligibility. This tool returns post rows; with_people:true may also join their known actors/authors. Use query for post text/topic and filters.posts for action type, mention/topic, target, date, or engagement constraints. Put author network scope at top-level filters. Candidate, investor, operator, partner, or founder shortlists by role, location, background, employer, or investing signal belong in people_search unless the user explicitly requires post/activity behavior.

Draft or send one reviewed outreach message through Gmail/email, LinkedIn DM or connection note, Instagram DM, X DM, or Super Carl direct/referral messaging. Modes: precheck, history, draft, send, status, cancel. Live send requires user_confirmed:true; use communication_read for cached read-only checks and project_action for whole-project delivery. Discovery keywords: Instagram DM, Instagram direct message, instagram_send_message, instagram_username, instagram_profile_url. Use people_search first when the user names an Instagram contact without a handle; call directly when target_user_id, project_target_id, instagram_username, or instagram_profile_url is known. For tool friction, offer an optional support ticket so Super Carl can take a look; show every ticket field, explain that it may be reviewed by a Super Carl team member or handled agentically, and call super_carl_action action_id="report_feedback" with user_confirmed:true only after explicit opt-in.

send_communication

Prepare Super Carl DMs, group posts/replies, or private requests. referral_request addresses a connected recipient_user_id about target_profile_id without a group. Audience, thread, and copy are sealed in a review_url for human approval in Super Carl. Scopes: direct_* messages-read; group_* group-context-read; request/introduction introductions-read; referral_request both. execute accepts an approved action_id; status never sends; cancel discards the proposal. External email/LinkedIn/X/Instagram delivery uses send_communication with that channel.

Read-only status for a previously started LinkedIn conversation-research run. Never starts or continues browser work.

conversation_read

Browse Super Carl DMs, groups, or private contact/introduction requests. Select one kind (direct: messages-read, group: group-context-read, private_request: introductions-read) and page with pagination.next_cursor. Returns bounded context and unread availability. Reading never marks read, resolves requests, creates projects, or contacts anyone.

inbox_read

Inspect Super Carl introduction requests and cases: participants, target, state, and actions. Omit request_ref to list your cases. Offers, connections, and delivered introductions are distinct. Read private contact requests with conversation_read. Legacy provenance is disclosed; unread and pending state stay unchanged.

introduction_read

Read-only project list/status/targets/metrics, send readiness, and audience counts. For add all, use people_search count then mode="counts" with the same all_matches cohort_ref before creation or project_id after. It does not add/remove targets or create exports; use project_action for mutations and bulk_export for CSV/Sheets.

project_read

Manage a Super Carl project/shortlist and its Google Sheet output. Use project_read for read-only list, status, targets, metrics, send readiness, and sheet-sync status. Common writes: add_targets/remove_targets, rename, generate_templates/generate_messages, update_message, google_sheet_sync, retry_failed_linkedin_sends, and activate. Carry the exact project_id or agent_session_id returned by prior tools. For a sheet requested from saved targets or ranked project results, call mode="google_sheet_sync" with google_sheet.action="start_or_update", google_sheet.data_sets, and user_confirmed:true; use action="force_sync" after project changes. For 1-3 standalone sends use send_communication; use project drafting/activation for a saved shortlist or larger batch. A tool result is authoritative: never claim a mutation or delivery succeeded before success is returned. For distinct API friction, offer an optional support ticket so Super Carl can take a look; show every ticket field, explain that it may be reviewed by a Super Carl team member or handled agentically, and call super_carl_action action_id="report_feedback" with user_confirmed:true only after explicit opt-in.

project_action

Read cached outreach capability, cached communication history, or queued/send delivery status without drafting, sending, cancelling, refreshing LinkedIn history, or enriching email. Modes: precheck, history, status. Gmail-only precheck checks cached email availability without a lookup. Missing cached email does not mean no email exists. Use send_communication for recipient lookup, fresh history, drafts, live sends, or cancel.

communication_read

Read one search tool's complete typed-filter schema, plus authoring_contract when that tool defers authoring doctrine. Callable at any time, including before this session's first search; use it before authoring typed filters. Read-only and repeatable; it does not execute a search and never limits later corrective calls.

search_capabilities

Use this when you need cached social-proximity or mutual-research status for one explicitly selected target, especially when a prior response says mutuals were researched recently. Never fan this tool out across every row of a shortlist: people_search relationship_detail:"intro_paths" already returns batched answer-ready paths. This read-only tool never starts, continues, resets, or refreshes LinkedIn mutual research; use social_proximity_research only when the user explicitly asks for warm-intro research and the status is not_started, failed, or stale. Omitted path limits default to one compact best path/mutual; set an explicit limit only when the user asks for deeper connector detail.

social_proximity_status

Read the authenticated owner's Super Carl account. get_account answers "what is my name on Super Carl?" free. get_credit_status answers "how many Super Carl credits do I have?" with balance/refresh; free and remains available at zero. get_profile returns the full professional profile directly; may use a lookup credit. get_network_status returns LinkedIn connection counts, sync progress and authorized group IDs for company/group searches. get_invite_link returns the personal invite link. Read-only.

account_read

Offer an opt-in Super Carl support ticket for user-visible MCP friction, bugs, feature gaps, or wrong/insufficient results. Before report_feedback, show every proposed field and linked Super Carl trace id, explain that the authenticated account is attached and the ticket may be reviewed by a Super Carl team member or handled agentically, ask whether to submit, then call only after an explicit yes with user_confirmed:true. Never include secrets, ambient conversation, full payloads, or third-party PII. Server 5xx are logged automatically; offer only for remaining user impact and at most once per issue. Discovery keywords: feedback, bug, report bug, report friction, API friction, feature request. Also handles settings, bonus credits, the user's invite link, and LinkedIn connection inspection. Not a people/company/job/post search tool or product-help tool; `action_id` selects the action.

super_carl_action

Start background LinkedIn mutual-connection and warm-intro research for one already-known person. Use only for an explicit mutuals, connector, or warmest-path request when research is not started, failed, stale, or explicitly refreshed; call at most once per target per request. Confirmed mutuals and experience-overlap possible paths remain distinct. Use social_proximity_status to poll without starting work.
