Description

firenum is a free retirement planner for FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early). Ask Claude about your own numbers and it sends them to firenum's planner, then answers from the planner's result. Things you can ask: • "When can I retire? I'm 40, I have $450k in my 401k plus $150k in a brokerage account. I earn $140k, put $2k a month into the 401k and spend $5k a month." • "What's my coast FIRE number? I'm 34, I have $210k in my 401k, I make $95k and spend about $4k a month." • "Can I retire at 50 with $1.2M? I'm 47 and we spend about $60k a year." • "I'm 62 and want to retire next year. I have $900k in my IRA and we spend $4,500 a month. Will my money last?" What comes back: • The first month your money lasts on average returns, and how often that date holds in 500 Monte Carlo simulations and in every historical start year since 1872 • Your FIRE and Coast FIRE numbers, and whether you could stop saving today • Your net worth year by year on each model, with income, spending and withdrawals • The assumptions behind the answer (returns, inflation, how your numbers were read), so follow-up questions get answers from the same plan • A link that opens your plan in firenum's Fire Planner, where you can add accounts, debts, pensions and life events, run stress tests and compare plans. Covers Coast, Barista, Lean and Fat FIRE, in 9 currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, CAD and AUD. If a number is missing, Claude asks for it. No account or API key. firenum doesn't store or log what you send: your numbers are used to work out the answer and the link, then discarded. firenum is a planning tool, not financial advice.
