Integration details

Description

GameGene records the lineage of game design: which idea in which game came from where, and what it passed on, with sources for every claim. This connector lets Claude read those records. Ask questions like "Where did Dark Souls' mechanic of going back for your dropped souls come from?", "Which games did this designer work on, and what did they say about them?" or "From the games GameGene readers read most, which classics haven't I looked at yet?". Claude answers from GameGene's sourced records and links to the pages it used. When GameGene has no record of something, Claude is told to say so instead of guessing, and not to state a claim more strongly than its recorded confidence. What you can read: games and their design moves (claims) with evidence, Genes (families of mechanics), creators and their quotes, trivia, public research notebooks, what readers read most, and readers' research requests. With your own GameGene account you can also read your own records: games you know or want to know, favorites, viewing history, requests and notebooks. Your own records are returned only to you. The connector is read-only. It never writes to GameGene. A free GameGene account is enough; Supporters get a higher daily limit. Most content is in Japanese, with English available for much of it.
