Description
Cetient Case Law is a legal-research plugin for finding US court opinions relevant to a legal question. It uses semantic search of Cetient's case-law database. Results are limited to the citation metadata needed to identify and verify a public opinion: case name, citations, court, filing date, precedential status, and source link. The plugin does not return internal record identifiers, opinion text, or summaries. No Cetient account is required. The search excludes opinions marked Unpublished. Jurisdiction and date mentions are semantic hints, not strict filters. Results are not exhaustive and do not establish that a case remains good law. Verify the linked full opinion and consult a qualified lawyer before relying on results; this tool provides legal information, not legal advice. Submit legal issues rather than confidential client facts or personal identifiers. Queries are processed by Cetient and its embedding provider. Cetient logs service usage, including pseudonymous network fingerprints, for operations and usage analytics; see the privacy policy for data practices.
