Chime Scheduler

Cancels a scheduled post or deletes a draft so it never publishes. Also cancels held posts, and clears failed posts from the attention list (it does not delete anything already on LinkedIn). Confirm with the user which post (show its text and time, never its id) before calling.

cancel_post

Changes a post that hasn't been published yet: its text, first comment, time, or images/video. media replaces the attached files: ["last"] for the user's latest upload, upload ids from list_uploads, or [] to remove them. Giving a draft a local_datetime schedules it (unless draft: true); draft: false schedules a draft at its planned time; draft: true turns a scheduled post back into a draft. Held or failed posts (e.g. after an expired LinkedIn login) are resolved by giving them a new local_datetime here (reconnect first if the login expired), posted now with post_now, or cancelled with cancel_post. A post marked unconfirmed counts as posted and can't be changed. The user can say the new time in their own words; pass local_datetime "YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm" on their clock. timezone defaults to the zone the post was scheduled in. Only include the fields that change. Tell the user the echoed time from the reply. Refer to the post by its time and text, never its id. Attach images or a video from the chat with files; or use get_upload_link.

edit_post

Shows the user's Chime Scheduler status: whether their LinkedIn is connected and when that login expires (with a reconnect link when it has expired or expires soon), their time zone and current local time, how many posts are scheduled and drafted, any posts that need attention (on hold or not posted) with the reason, and posts from the last day with their live LinkedIn links (ids are in the structured data; never show ids to the user). Call this first when you need today's date or the user's local time to turn words like "tomorrow at 9" into a date, and whenever the user asks how things stand.

get_status

Lists the user's posts with their status, local publish time and the start of the text, as a table. By default shows everything still open: posts needing attention (on hold or not posted) first, then posts posting now and upcoming scheduled posts (soonest first), then drafts. A post marked unconfirmed in the structured data counts as posted: LinkedIn didn't confirm it, so the user should check their profile; it never needs attention. Use status to narrow it: "upcoming", "drafts", "attention", "published" or "cancelled". Each post's "id" in the structured data is what edit_post and cancel_post take; never show ids to the user, name posts by time and text.

list_posts

Lists the user's recent uploads (newest first) with short ids, file names, kind, size and, for images, a thumbnail link valid for 10 minutes. Files from the latest upload are marked: that is what media: ["last"] attaches to a post. Call this after the user says they have uploaded, and show them the table so they can confirm before you attach them. Each file's "id" is in the structured data (to pass in media); never show ids to the user.

list_uploads

Publishes a post on the user's LinkedIn profile right now and returns the live link when LinkedIn confirms it (usually a few seconds). Only call this when the user clearly wants it live now; show them the final text first if you wrote or changed it. For a later time use schedule_post. Optional first_comment goes up a few seconds after the post. With media (["last"] or upload ids, see get_upload_link) the post is queued and goes out within a minute or two (videos take longer while LinkedIn processes them); tell the user and check get_status for the live link. If the reply says it is still posting, tell the user and check get_status later. Never call post_now again for the same post. To post a held or failed post now (e.g. after a reconnect), pass its id instead of text. For a post LinkedIn didn't confirm, pass its id with confirm_not_on_linkedin: true only after the user checked their profile and said it is not there; it is posted again as a new post. Show the user the reply as it is; the post id is in the structured data only. Attach images or a video from the chat with files; or use get_upload_link.

post_now

Schedules a post on the user's LinkedIn profile for a time in their own time zone, or saves it as a draft (draft: true, no time needed). The user can say the time in their own words; pass it as local_datetime "YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm" on their clock (call get_status if you need today's date). Use timezone only when they name another zone. Optional first_comment is posted on their post a few seconds after it goes live. To add images or a video: call get_upload_link, give the user the link, and once they say they have uploaded, pass media: ["last"] (or upload ids from list_uploads). The table names the attached files: show it so the user can confirm. The reply echoes the exact time ("Scheduled for Sat 17 Oct, 1:00 PM IST (in 2 days).") and a table of what was scheduled: always show the user that line so they can catch a wrong time. The post's id is in the structured data for later edit_post or cancel_post calls; never show it to the user. Show the user the final text before scheduling if you wrote or changed it. Attach images or a video from the chat with files; or use get_upload_link.

schedule_post

Gives the user a private, single-use link to an upload page where they drop the images or video for a post (up to 9 JPG, PNG or GIF images up to 8 MB each, or one MP4 video up to 50 MB; no PDFs). Call this when the user wants a picture or video on a post. Show them the reply as it is: the link, the table and the last line. When they say they have uploaded, call list_uploads to show them what arrived, then schedule_post or edit_post with media: ["last"].
