GoCodes

Get the full detail record for a single task in the authenticated user's own GoCodes account, by its numeric task ID, including name, description, due date, status, assignee, and attachment metadata. Authorized account data.

get_task_details

Get all tasks assigned to a specific company-owned asset in the authenticated user's own GoCodes account, by its GoCodes asset ID. Authorized account data.

get_tasks_for_asset

List the attachment metadata (filename, size, upload date, uploader) on a company-owned asset in the authenticated user's own GoCodes account. Requires the Attachments feature to be enabled on the account. Authorized account data.

list_asset_attachments

List the asset types defined for the authenticated user's own GoCodes account (id and name) — the taxonomy used to categorize the caller's company assets. Authorized account data.

list_asset_types

List the authenticated user's own company-owned assets at a given home location (case-insensitive substring match). If 'location' is omitted or empty, instead returns the distinct locations with an asset count for each. Equipment locations within the caller's authorized GoCodes account, not people tracking.

list_assets_by_location

List the authenticated user's own company-owned assets that are currently checked out (assigned to someone/somewhere), including who they are assigned to and their expected return date. Authorized account data.

list_checked_out_assets

List the customers / assignees configured in the authenticated user's own GoCodes account (name and email) — the people the caller's assets can be checked out to and tasks assigned to. This is the caller's own account roster, which they are authorized to access.

list_customers

List all kit-parent assets in the authenticated user's own GoCodes account (assets that group other assets together). Requires the Kits feature to be enabled. Authorized account data.

list_kits

List the authenticated user's own company assets whose next scheduled service date is due. By default returns assets due on or before today; pass 'withinDays' to also include service coming up within that many days. Negative 'daysUntilDue' means already overdue. Authorized account data.

list_maintenance_due

List the tasks assigned to the current authenticated user (the caller) in their own GoCodes account, including due dates, status, and the asset each task is on. Authorized account data.

list_my_tasks

List the authenticated user's own checked-out company assets whose expected return date has passed (overdue), most overdue first, with the number of days overdue. Authorized account data.

list_overdue_assets

List the attachment metadata (filename, size, upload date, uploader) on a task in the authenticated user's own GoCodes account. Requires the Tasks and Attachments features to be enabled on the account. Authorized account data.

list_task_attachments

List the task statuses defined for the authenticated user's own GoCodes account (id and name), e.g. for interpreting the taskStatusId on a task. Authorized account data.

list_task_statuses

List all tasks in the authenticated user's own GoCodes account, including task details, due dates, assigned assets, and customer information. Returns up to 'limit' tasks. Authorized account data.

list_tasks

List upcoming agenda events in the authenticated user's own GoCodes account for a date range: asset return dates, scheduled service dates, asset end-of-life dates, and task due dates. Dates are yyyy-MM-dd. Defaults to the next 30 days from today. Authorized account data.

list_upcoming_events

Restore the caller's own company-owned assets to the state before recent changes, using the change log written by update_asset. By default (apply=false) it only PREVIEWS what would be restored and writes nothing; call again with apply=true to actually perform the restore. With no dates it targets today's changes in UTC — the 'current session'; pass fromDate/toDate (ISO 8601, treated as UTC; a bare date covers the whole UTC day) to target a date range. Optionally restrict to one assetId. Each asset is rolled back to its earliest recorded state within the window (undoing every change in that window). Only changes made by the current user are considered. Restores are themselves logged, so they can be undone too. The caller's own authorized account data.

restore_assets

Search the authenticated user's own GoCodes account inventory of company-owned assets by free text (matches name, ID, serial number, model, etc.). Returns up to 'limit' matching assets; set limit to 500 for a full list. Pass an empty string to return the entire inventory. All results are account data the caller is authorized to access.

search_assets

Summarize the authenticated user's own GoCodes account inventory. With no 'customer', gives an account-wide summary (totals, value, breakdowns by type/status/location, and top assignees). With a 'customer' (matches the asset's assigned-to value, case-insensitive substring), summarizes just the assets assigned to that customer. Authorized account data.

summarize_customer_inventory

Update the editable fields of a single company-owned asset in the authenticated user's own GoCodes account, identified by its GoCodes asset ID. Only the parameters you supply are changed; every other field is preserved. Each value you provide REPLACES that field wholesale — text fields are never appended to the existing value, so to add to a note you must pass the full new text yourself; omit a field to leave it unchanged. Internally the tool re-reads the asset's current values and re-submits the COMPLETE record with your changes merged in, because the GoCodes update API is a full replacement — any field left out of the request would be wiped. To clear a text field pass an empty string. Numeric/date fields you omit keep their current value. Changing 'checkedOut'/'assignedTo' records a check-out/check-in in the assignment history. Requires an account role that permits editing (Administrator, Customer, GroupAdministrator, AssetManager, or AssetAssigner); the caller's own authorized account data.

update_asset

Update an existing task in the authenticated user's own GoCodes account, by its numeric task ID. Only the parameters you supply are changed; every other field is preserved. Each value you provide REPLACES that field wholesale — text fields are never appended to the existing value; pass an empty string to clear a text field, or omit a field to leave it unchanged. Internally the tool re-reads the task's current values and re-submits the COMPLETE record with your changes merged in, because the GoCodes update API is a full replacement — any field left out of the request would be wiped. To change ONLY the status use update_task_status, and to change ONLY the assignee use assign_task. update_task

Change only the status of a task in the authenticated user's own GoCodes account, by its numeric task ID. Use list_task_statuses to get the valid status IDs for the account. This is the preferred way to change a task's status: it touches only the status field, so no other task data can be affected. Requires the Tasks feature and a role that permits updating tasks (Administrator, GroupAdministrator, AssetManager, or AssetAssigner). The caller's own authorized account data.
