Filter by creation date, author, literal text, favorites or pins. Continue with `page.olderThanId` or `page.newerThanId`, keeping the same filters; `aroundId` includes and marks the accessible anchor. Use `get` for full text and cite returned `url` values as Markdown links. Requires read permission.

browse

Check the connected Goodterm access, its current Record permissions and the server time. Call before working with the user’s Records and check again when permissions may have changed. Includes the accessible Record count and creation-date range when reading is allowed; zero without read permission does not mean the account is empty. Takes an empty object: `{}`.

whoami

Save a thought or other content as a new Record when the user asks to save it. Preserve supplied or agreed wording and language; a request to explore or formulate an insight alone does not authorize saving. Requires create permission, independently of read permission. Returns the saved Record’s ID, link and version metadata, not its content. Confirm saving only after success; do not repeat a successful call to retrieve its content.

create

Edit a known, accessible Record or change its favorite status at the user’s request. Read the current text before editing and preserve content outside the requested change. Use replace, append, patch or splices; splices requires expectedRevision and UTF-16 ranges. Pass the revision or updatedAt from your read as expectedRevision or expectedUpdatedAt to detect intervening changes. On conflict, read again and reassess the edit. Requires read and edit permission. Changes are atomic. Returns saved metadata; `get` reads the current content, while semantic search indexing follows asynchronously.

update

Load a bundled Goodterm skill before a matching task. The result contains instructions to apply with your existing tools; it does not perform the task or grant additional permissions. Load only guidance relevant to the current question. Reuse guidance already available in the conversation; reload when it is missing or needs refreshing. Omit resource to load the skill entrypoint. use_skill

Move a known, accessible Record to the user’s trash when they ask to delete it. Resolve an ambiguous target before calling. Requires read, edit and delete permission. Returns the Record ID and deletion time. This does not permanently erase the Record; the user can restore it in Goodterm. Confirm the move only after success.

delete

Read accessible Records using either `url` (a Goodterm Record link or /r/ path) or `ids` (1–20 UUIDs). Pass Record links directly as `url`; a link grants no permission. Requires read permission. Unavailable links return NOT_FOUND; missing read permission returns FORBIDDEN. Missing or inaccessible IDs appear in `notFound`. Long Records arrive in text windows: continue with `nextOffset` as `offset` and the same `revision` as `expectedRevision`. Offsets use UTF-16 code units. Keep `revision` and `updatedAt` for subsequent edits. Cite returned `url` values as Markdown links.

get

Find saved thoughts and experiences in accessible Records. Use `query` to search by meaning, `contains` for a literal substring, or both to narrow the same search. Filter by creation date, author, favorites or pins. Results are previews, not an exhaustive account of the user’s thinking; use `get` to read relevant context. Cite returned `url` values as Markdown links. Requires read permission.
