Homeschool Fox

Create a new subject on the user's Homeschool Fox account. Use this only when log_activity reports no matching subject AND the user confirms they want a new subject — don't invent subjects on your own. Mark core: true only for subjects that count toward state core-hour requirements (math, language arts, science, social studies — ask the user if unsure). If a subject with the same name already exists, it is returned instead of creating a duplicate.

create_subject

Get each student's progress toward their current school-year goals: hours logged (total, core, non-core) and attendance days, alongside the goal's targets. Use this to answer "how are we doing on hours?" or "are we on track?".

get_progress

List the user's recently logged Homeschool Fox activities, newest first. Use this to answer questions like "what did we log this week?" or to check whether a session was already recorded before logging it.

list_recent_activities

List the students (children) on the user's Homeschool Fox account, with ids and first names.

list_students

List the subjects on the user's Homeschool Fox account. `core` subjects count toward state core-hour requirements.

list_subjects

Log a learning activity to the user's Homeschool Fox record. Use this whenever the user wants to record homeschool work (e.g. "log 30 minutes of math with Emma"). Subjects and students are matched by name against the account — call list_subjects / list_students first if unsure. One subject per activity: if the user describes several subjects, log each as its own activity. On a single-student account, students may be omitted. For repeating schedules ("math every Monday and Wednesday at 9 through June"), set recurring: true with the recurrence fields — past-tense one-time sessions ("we did math today") are NOT recurring. If the call fails, the error lists the valid subjects or students so you can retry.
