Retrieves and displays the user's connected accounts, including banks and investment accounts, grouped by financial institution with balances. Use for: account balances, financial overview, connected accounts list, net worth summary. Do NOT use for: transaction history or spending details (use show-transactions instead).

show-accounts

Retrieves and summarizes the user's financial transactions grouped by categories for specified groups of periods. The widget is a barplot, showing the total spending amount for each category for selectable months by the user. Each category can have further subcategories details on the field called `details`. Use for: Summary of expenses, spending habits over time, category-wise breakdown of expenses. Do NOT use for: Transaction-level listing, account balance details. Defaults: Last 6 months, all accounts, all categories. Constraints: Date range is capped at 12 months. If a range exceeds this, end_date is adjusted to start_date plus 12 months. start_date cannot be more than 12 months before today; requests for older data will be rejected. If no date range is provided, defaults to the last 6 months. Prerequisites: If filtering by specific bank accounts, pass account_numbers from show-accounts output. Call show-accounts first if you do not have them.

show-spending-summary

Retrieves and displays the user's financial transactions with filtering, sorting, and pagination. Use for: recent transactions, spending history, payment records, income tracking. Do NOT use for: account balances or financial summaries (use show-accounts instead). Defaults: All accounts, last 3 months (up to today), sorted by date descending, no limit. Constraints: Data is available from up to 12 months ago until today. start_date cannot be more than 12 months before today. The maximum span between start_date and end_date is 3 months. When the user does not specify dates, omit both start_date and end_date to use the default range (last 3 months up to today). Prerequisites: If filtering by specific bank accounts, pass account_numbers from show-accounts output. Call show-accounts first if you do not have them. Examples: "show my 5 highest transactions" → sort_key="amount", sort_order="desc", limit=5. "Show my income" → transaction_type="income".
