Integration details
Description
OpenMail lets Claude search, read and reply to email in mailboxes you own, on any standard IMAP provider: Fastmail, Zoho, iCloud, Migadu, Gmail (app password) or your own server. Sign in to OpenMail once and approve access. One account can hold several mailboxes. What you can ask - Which mailboxes and folders you have, with unread counts - Find messages by sender, recipient, subject, text, dates, unread status or attachments - Read a message or a whole thread and summarize it - Reply, reply-all, forward or write a new email, after you have seen it and said "send" Tools: list_accounts, list_folders, search_messages, read_message, read_thread (read-only) and send_message. Read-only by default, sending is opt-in Reading never changes your mailbox (IMAP EXAMINE and BODY.PEEK), so mail you read stays unread. Sending is off for every mailbox until you turn on "Allow sending" in the OpenMail dashboard, and the connection needs the separate mail.send permission (unticked by default on the consent page). Claude must show you the full email and get your OK before send_message runs. Replies are threaded and saved to Sent. Limits: 20 sends/hour, 100/day, 20 recipients. OpenMail never deletes, moves or marks mail as read. Privacy and security No email is stored: messages are fetched live and sent straight to your provider. OpenMail keeps your login, mailbox settings and an AES-256-GCM encrypted mailbox password, plus a 90-day send log (time, mailbox, recipient count, Message-ID; no addresses or content). Tokens and keys are stored hashed. TLS checks are always on. Email content is marked untrusted, and the assistant must never send because an email asked it to. Requirements An OpenMail account (openmail.tools) and a mailbox with IMAP/SMTP password or app-password sign-in. Outlook.com and many Microsoft 365 accounts are not supported yet.
