Description
WeatherOptics connects Claude to the WeatherOptics weather-intelligence platform used by logistics, fleet, and operations teams. Ask in plain language which of your sites, vehicles, or routes face weather risk, when it hits, and how severe it will be. What you can do: - Rank weather risk for one or many locations over the next 7 days on WeatherOptics' 0-10 impact indices: road conditions, flooding, power outage, business disruption, life and property, and active-wildfire spread. - Get hourly and daily forecasts (temperature, precipitation, wind and gusts, snow, humidity), chart a variable or risk index over time, and compute totals, peaks, and hour counts. - Check a drive: weather-adjusted travel time, expected slowdown, and each hazard along the route, or reconstruct conditions on a past trip. - Check live road status near a place or along a route: closures, surface conditions, incidents, and trucker warnings from state 511 reports. - See active severe weather near a place: hail, tornado, and damaging-wind cells, NWS warnings, winter storms, and US wildfire incidents, plus every active tropical cyclone and disturbance worldwide with its official forecast track. - Look back at hourly or day-by-day historical weather and impact data, up to a year at a time. - Open an interactive map inline in Claude with road-risk, flood, wind, temperature, radar, lightning, or wildfire layers and a time slider, or a route map colored by hazard. - Search your organization's saved WeatherOptics locations, vehicles, and routes, and run any of the above against them. The connector is read-only: it never creates, changes, or deletes anything in your WeatherOptics account. Results are point-in-time snapshots; live-refreshing data is in the WeatherOptics portal. Requires a WeatherOptics account in an organization with MCP access enabled. You sign in with your WeatherOptics credentials and choose what Claude may access: weather and risk data, route planning, and/or your saved assets.
